Yes, it is I. The mighty Dest, or Evanescence as I am now called (even though no one actually CALLS me that xP No worries though).
Well, you may have noticed I disappeared recently. Most likely you didn't, as I have a habit of just not turning up for a few da...wee...months at a time, however people who have my Facebook will have noticed that I haven't been on there, either. And if I HAVE, well I want to know about it as I haven't had internet access since Monday.
Anyways, yes. My mom had her operation on Tuesday, a hysterectomy. Unfortunate, but I prefer to not be in the house alone, not this one anyway. I don't like the aura of an empty house. And I hate stairs. >.> My craziness aside, basically I went back to live with my nana while my mother was in hospital. She got out today, and I came home to look after her as she's still tender (and has one HECK of a bruise around the incision site, which in itself is about 8 inches long), so I had a chance to get on the internet.
My mom can't drive for about 6 weeks, until she can safely do an emergency stop, so she can't take me places.
See, thing is, from my house, my school is a good...2 miles? 2 and a half? While this is in walking distance normally, that brings me to my next point.
I, myself am going in for an operation. On Thursday, to be precise, I have to be there at 7:30am, having showered without using any toiletries at ALL (including deodorant, shower gel etc) to be dropped off and left. It's just day surgery, so there's nothing major about it.
If anyone had seen me in real life, yous would immediately notice my limp. It's quite heavy, as in especially cold weather (and hot weather too!) my ankle really hurts to move or put pressure on, so you would probably also notice me standing like a flamingo on my left leg because seriously, I'm cool. In fact, on webcam, if you see me moving I'll be limping, though it's probably quite difficult to tell as I'm either too far away or the webcam is moving too.
Back on TOPIC, I'll be going for what will hopefully be corrective surgery. Once this has happened, I will be on crutches for a while, and won't be able to walk this 2+ mile walk to school.
The solution? I move in with my nana again. She lives in the same area as my school, so it shouldn't take too long to get there, and should be slightly easier going.
The rats and the guinea pig are already there, because although my nana hates them (she thinks they're creepy crawlies), she cares too much about me to say no. They're in my room, and she doesn't mind so much as she doesn't have to interact with them and I keep them cleaned out so they don't smell.
I got them dropped off when my mom dropped me and my sister off at my nanas on Monday night. The rats were in a small cage on my knee, the cage I put them in as I clean their large cage out, with their home cage in the boot/trunk of the car. The guinea pig was in her cage on the back seat with my sister keeping an eye on them.
Well, although that turned into a little autobiography, it basically sums up my situation right now.
Oh, and I'm working overtime trying to sell my canvasses to try and earn the £85 I owe my nana for her and my mom's birthday presents (tickets to see the band Westlife as they come to my local town, which is VERY rare for big bands to do).
And @*££"**#¬ when are my parade shoes and my hoodie gonna turn up?! D< I ordered the shoes JUST after New Years, and the hoodie a few weeks ago! Grrr.
