((For Flickerpaw and Dustpaw of course. ^^ I was bored. )) Dustpaw walked out of the apprentices den and stretched with a look around the camp. What was there that needed done? But he was drug away from these thoughts as hunger gnawed at his stomach. He turned his attention to the mouth watering scent of the fresh kill pile. It looked like someone had returned from hunting a little while ago. The tom walked over paws falling lightly. He wasn't small but he wasn't big either. It was almost like he was built for swimming. Well living in Cresentclan did that to you. All the fish made you fur smooth and water would just slide off your fur. He stopped and picked up a fish and padded back to where the apprentices usually ate. The toms mind wandered as he ate the fish. For a moment his thoughts dwelled on where Flickerpaw was. But then he figured he just missed her in the den or something. Then again she might be in the medicine cats den since it had been just recently that he had gotten her out of the cold waters of the river. He had almost lost her. The fear that thought put in him made him shiver involuntarily. Dustpaw glanced up as he thought he heard someone approaching. ((We should see about getting them a warrior ceremony. O.o I mean how old are they? Pretty old. XD))

((Yea! Your right... older then some warriors I would guess! Scary O.o))
Breathing was shallow, tail twitched. As the she-cat plunged into icy cold water she went right under, being dragged under farther and farther. She was usually a good swimmer, body sleek and petit with strong legs. But the storm had made the water so high... and swift. No one was in sight, and how the apprentice yearned for Dustpaw. She gasped for another breath, lungs filling with water. The silver she-cats head went back under as steady waves tugged at her soaked fur. Flickerpaw was drowning...
She woke with a start, gasping for another breath. Her crystal blue eyes were wide with fear, but soon went back to normal as Flickerpaw noticed were she was. But still her paws were shaky from the terrible dream, kneading the small nest underneath her. It was that morning she really fell into the lake, the same fear gripping at her heart with icy cold claws. Yet Dustpaw was there to save her... and how thankful she was of it. She couldnt of picked someone better to be her hero. Shaking off her silvery pelt from moss, white stripes a bit dusty, Flickerpaw looked around the den she was in. She was alone... fur now dry, and she was no longer freezing with chance of hypothermia. Actually she felt pretty good, maybe a little light headed because she was hungry, but nothing she wasnt use to. The medicine cat den smelled strongly of strange herbs, just making her head ache worse. Flickerpaw got up, heading for the exit. She needed some fresh air after what happened this morning, but more then that she wanted to see Dustpaw... The thought of him made her tail tingle. The young and hansome tom was her best friend, maybe one of her only friends. Not to mention adopted brother... but never thought of him that way. No, she thought of him as something much more... The she-cat looked around camp, shaking the remence of the bad dream out of her mind. Not many cats were around, the afternoon was usually filled with hunting and territory patrols. How long was she recovering in slumber? Just then, as she scanned over the camp, the she-cat spotted Dustpaw! She wondered if he was thinking of her... Flickerpaw grinned, making her way over to him slowly, still a bit wobbly. "Hey. Thanks for... you know... this morning." She purred, sitting next to him. How he looked in the glorious light. "Are you okay?" Flickerpaw asked, as her stomach grumbled again.

Dustpaw turned to face Flickerpaw as she sat next to him. "I'm fine. It really should be me asking you how you are though." He said with a purr of laughter. The dusty brown tom hadn't gotten as cold as Flickerpaw. He figured that may have been because he was born in the clan. Not that he cared whether a cat was clan born or not but he some times wondered if that effected how you went about things like swimming. He noticed her stomach grumbling and pushed the fish that he had gotten over to her. It only had a couple bites taken out of it. "Here. You sound hungry." He said with a smile at her. His eyes showed the love he felt so easily. It wasn't hard to see they were a good couple and that they loved each other. "So how are you feeling?" He added a question.
((*head shake* I've been here for so long and this is probably the only couple that I'm active in and don't own both cats. XD I suppose I'm fairly active with Envy and Bloodwrath. But this one is certainly my main one. Btw their theme song is totally My Hero is You. XD))

She sighed with a grin, resting her head on the toms shoulder. He was so warm... Flickerpaw closed her eyes, listening to his heartbeat. She could of stayed like that forever. "Hmm?" The she-cat mumbled as she lifted her head back up. "Me? Im fine, Im just glad your here." The apprentice purred, letting her tail wrap around her paws softly. "A little head-ache and a bit sore... nothing out of the ordinary." A slight breeze ruffled her fur and she moved closer to Dustpaw, their pelts touching. She wasnt embaresed by the tom anymore, and being with him was just normal for her. Flickerpaw knew that they loved each other, though nothing was said between them. Nothing needed to be... it was perfect. Maybe when they became warriors things would change, but now everything was so calm. The silver and white she-cat sniffed at the fish, finally noticing how hungry she really was. "Thanks." She mewed, nibbling on the fresh-kill.
((Bad post xPP Thats funny! And that song is so true! ;D))

"That's good then." Dustpaw said with a quiet purr. He felt the same as her. No need to speak the words I love you. They already knew it. They didn't need conformation. Just how they acted and the way they treated each other showed all the affection that was needed or wanted. It was true bliss right now. Because despite the cold weather and the hard-ships they made it through. Soon they would be warriors. Dustpaw didn't think things would change. He believed that they would stay the same. If they didn't well then he believed they could only get better. There was no worse for him. He was quite optimistic really. He found himself curious about their warrior names. It would be interesting if their ceremony's were on the same day. It would be a good day. Plus they could have their vigil together. Even sitting in silence for a cold night would be fine with him as long as he was with her. "I thought you would be hungry." He said making a bit of a smirk.
((Naw mines not much better. XPXD))

So much emotion was around the two of them, there was no need for words. No words would be able to start how the small she-cat felt anyhow... but she sensed Dustpaw could feel it. Flickerpaw smiled once again, nudging into the tom she loved so much. His body was so warm, while the air around them was so chilling. But she didn't need his warmth either, all the affection and bliss rushing through her veins warmed her enough. She loved Dustpaw since the day they met as kits... he was always like a brother to her... ans now he was more. Perfect fairytale. The two of them would be warriors soon, and they could start a family of their own! Flickerpaw was so thrilled; she was born into a world of hatred, abuse, and no light. But she was now convinced that she was the small flicker of hope in that pure evil and darkness. Such a puny, unwanted creature was now living with no regrets. Her foster mother, and Dustpaws real mother, is going to be so proud! The silvery grey she-cat could tell already. The apprentice re-opened her crystal blue eyes, giving the one she loved a quick lick on his cheek. "Thanks again." Flickerpaw whispered in his ear, finishing the fresh-kill. She couldn't of asked for a more perfect moment, and she finally knew....

Dustpaw smiled a crooked smile. There seemed to be a warmth passing between them. He beamed when he saw her when he was around her. Even more when she smiled at him. The tom leaned forward and brushed his muzzle lightly across her cheek. How happy he was! So much happiness, in such a time that seemed rough, bad maybe. But he seemed blind to the bad things around them. For why should he dwell on the bad when he had so much good? Flickerpaw may have felt unwanted as a young kit, but she was far from that now. His mother treated her as a daughter, he had treated her as a sister for a while, but now he treated her as more. For she was more to him. She meant more then his own life to him. "Glad to see your doing well." He said with another smile. The joy was apparent in his eyes as he looked at her.
((Such a cute thread. XD))
