Eyes widening with shock as Honeystar ignored her, a low growl erupted from the hot tempered apprentice as she bared her teeth slightly, all previous calm gone. "I have been here longer then both of them Honeystar, so don't you DARE forget about me." Fur bristling slightly, the senior apprentice sent a look of pure daggers at Honeystar, obviously wanting to do a lot more then just talk. There was a fire in Eclipsingpaw, even if it wasn't always the best when kept under control, the apprentice had guts. Shooting an even darker glance at the two apprentices, the youg cat stood up, muttering under her breath about how she shouldn't have even come back. Eclipsingpaw was skilled beyond the other apprentices because of one simple reason; she had run off to the rogues as a kit, and lived there for many of her moons. She had been back for a while, but her temper was still worse then ever. Flipping her tail, Eclipsingpaw began to rattle off what she smelt, all the while keeping a sharp gaze on Honeystar.
"We are coming close to the CresentClan border, the water that makes up their territory gives off a slightly fish like smell from the prey in there. However, we aren't close enough for that smell to hide everything, so the prey in our territory is very strong. Currently we are getting next to a vole.."
Watching as Talonfang caught the vole, Eclipsingpaw shrugged slightly.
"Well, we were next to a vole. As we get closer to the border though, the prey that we eat scents are fading away, giving away to the fish smell of CresentClan. Up in that tree though, there is an owl."
Stopping dead in her tracks, eyes wide with challenege, she looked at Talonfang. She knew all about his owl hunting style, she had heard about it all the time as the warrior was a bit of a pro at it, and she wanted to learn how.
"How do you catch those things anyway?" Looking at the adult cats, determination blazing in her light blue eyes, it was obvious the apprentice was not going to give up, or move that is, until she managed to catch that owl. It didn't matter if it took all day, she was going to do it.

Shatterfall rolled her eyes at Talonfang. She wasn't a supporter for the rogues in the least. They were the ones who had the grotesque work to her twisted leg and she would never forgive them for it. She hated them with a sickening rage that boiled within her heart. She scowled at the tom, wondering why he should brag about being kin to one of the most vicious. She opened her mouth to respond when her apprentice, Eclipsingpaw cut in.
Her head let out an audibly pop as it snapped from Talonfang to Eclipsingpaw. Her eyes narrowed at the she-cat. Yes, she was an older apprentice, yet did that give her the right to confront the leader over quite a stupid matter. Honeystar had never said she couldn't come, had she? She let Eclipsingpaw rattle on to see if Honeystar would interject, but when she didn't, Shatterfall took control.
As gracefully as she could, she sidled in front of the apprentice to block her way. Then, with a sharp cuff to the side of Eclipsingpaw's ear, she stiffly growled through gritted teeth: "Come with me. Now." With that, she strode off to a near-by boulder, waited for Eclipsingpaw to come, then disappeared into the foliage.
((You can let Eclipsingpaw make her exit then I'll start a new thread.))

Ah yes, she had been expecting this. As soon as her sharp words had left her maw, Eclipsingpaw had just known that either Shatterfall or someone else would react to them. It never failed to bother someone, which half the time was the whole reason that she did it. Mostly when she was bored, but sometimes when she was in a bad mood. It had always cheered her up to see the reactions of others. Trouble had no meaning to her, she really didn't care. Although she was loyal at heart, there where times when there was actual resent to the warrior code. There were so many ways that they could change it, so many deatils that weere worthless for it, why should they have to bind themselves to it for every moment? It was just a giant waste of time in her views.
Casting a slightly narrowed look at Shatterfall's retreating form, Eclipsingpaw didn't follow her mentor right away. No, there was something she had to do first, that owl was not going to just sit there and mock her. She probably wouldn't get it, but do you honestly think that would stop the apprentice from trying anyways? With one fluid leap, Eclipsingpaw began her desent up the tree, being careful not the scrape the bark too much. Within moments, she was on the same level as the bird, carefully hiding in the leaves, just watching the bird.
It wasn't that she had been upset because she hadn't been invited, rather, it had been because Honeystar had ignored her, having spoken to onlyu Seekingpaw and Waterpaw, even though Eclipsingpaw had said that she was coming along. Not only had she been here longer then both of them, pride would not allow her to be ignored like that by anyone, and confrontation was the only method she knew. Attention was what she thrived on, negative or positive. It didn't really matter.
A sudden lunge, and the bird was missed my mere inches. Instead, all that remained where a couple feathers, snagged in the apprentice's claws. Cursing to herself, the apprentice quickly scaled down the tree, and walked over to where her mentor was waiting, head and tail raised as though she was just going to learn a new move. Quite an actor, there was no falt in her stride, and she seemed to be just in the glow of her apprenticeship.
