He had just gotten out of the cave, all three cats having gone thier own ways, and it was time to speak with the clan cat's leader, Goldstar. It wasn't the first time that the onyx rogue had spoken to the other feline, but as usual, he was wary of just coming close to the camp, the thick scent of cat everywhere, making a closed in feeling. He wasn't going to go into the abandoned barn, lingering in the shadows just outside. Goldstar would find him if he was looking for the other cat.
It was a strange one, this battle. Never before had he been allied with so many cats at once, and never had there been such a deadly enemy. Just one mistake in this battle would mean death to innocents, and that was something he would try to prevent. All he needed was to speak with Goldstar about everything.
Golden eyes burning, Zane settled into the shadows, waiting.
((Sorry. I was rushed.))

The scent of cats rushed around GoldTalon, one tingling his fur. There was a cat here he did not know. Perhaps it was Eaglewing, and he was going crazy? No...That wasn't it. A low rumble deep in his throat, the tomcat eased out of the bracken he'd slept in. He didn't want to take shelter inside, with how many sick or injured cats needed it more than he.
GoldTalon's tail lashed, before his eyes caught onto the figure in the bushes. He tried to keep his composure. A rogue...
Now was not the time to be attacked. They weren't ready and he knew it.
"If I can help you so tell me now before I tear you to pieces. Your kind has ravaged my soul. Do not dare to try us."
His lip raised slightly, the rogue striking rebelliance into his heart. He had been away from home far too long because of cats like this. His clan was driven to pieces and he knew it. With one more scent, GoldTalon knew the tom was not with Renegade's band. No, the scent was rather opposite the evil one. But caution still reguarded his heart.

Ah yes, as usual, dealing with nearly any time of cat resulted in an almost blood shed. It was a strange life, one could consider, but it was the only one that the onyx tom had ever known. The attitude which was portrayed by the leader though, caused his own to flare, although it wasn't really considered an 'attitude.' Maw drawing back so ivory flashed in the half light, golden eyes gleaming, Zane spoke softly, but with a deadly edge. He may be on their side, but one was to take care and remember he was still a rogue, for better or worse.
"Do not think that your kind has been so great to mine either. You are not the picture of innocence either."
The clans and rogues had always been at war, but it was to be remembered that not all were possesed and insane like Renegade. After all, nobody ever had said he needed to help these clan cats. Or anyone, at that.
"Before we go into battle, I just figured you would like to know what I had planned to happen with those who are fighting against Renegade."
There was no reason for pleasantries these days, it seemed.

GoldTalon's eyes softened a bit, his head acknowledging his mistake. Above him, the sun was only beginning to rise.
"My apollogies, Zane. I hadn't realized who had come for us."
The senior tom looked mysteriously to the stars the remained in the sky.
"The darkness of Renegade's band has covered the light in my clan's heart. Each dawn, they wake in fear. My ancestors charged me to protect my clan and gave me the lives to do so. Yet...With all of this, how does any of it help me to protect them from their own fear? It's a maddening feeling, to be helpless. Only in battle can a cat truly win. Everything else is a draw. Not quite losing, but never, never coming out a step ahead of the rest. Only in death are we found to be equal. Is there no hope of finding peace in life?"
GoldTalon's rhetorical question hung in the air, the taste of wisdom gracing his tongue. It was time to talk battle with the one who knew it best.
"Alright Zane. My ears are yours to listen. Say what you must."
He braced himself for the news. Was CrescentClan under siege? PewterClan wasn't ready to deal with this again....But without dealing, it really wasn't PewterClan anymore. They were also just a bunch of homeless fiends. Even the right to be a family was stripped from them by Renegade's claws. How much mroe power could a cat hold, then the power of loss?

"It was to be expected." There were rogues everywhere, these clan cats were not used to being surrounded by all their scents, after being used to living in the boxed in area that they called camp. Not to mention the fact that Renegade had followers who could be just lurking, and waiting for the moment to attack the unprepared clan cats. It had actually suprised the tom that Goldtalon had not been more hostile.
Ears flicking back as the senior tom spoke to the sky, Zane looked away, not sure what he was talking to. Unlike the clan cats, Zane did not beleive in the ones that they called StarClan. He never had, and probably never would, even if he woke up one day in their ranks. What he knew was true though, was destiny, and fate. Some could say that they were the same thing, but only those who actually knew they were true, could tell the difference between the two. Turning his burning gaze back to the cat in front of him, Zane began to speak, his words soft, but laced with experiance.
"CresentClan is still safe, Renegade seems to be a bit lazy right now, but that may not last long. His rogues have made themselves at home in your camp, and currently don't seem to want to do much at the moment. As for the leader himself, he hasn't made an appearance yet. There is a battle plan that I, as well as a different rogue, have agreed on.
CresentClan is basically surrounded by water, so the fighting is going to be much more intense. For the first part of the battle, it will seem as though my rogues are fighting with Renegade, although the truth be different. They will not injure one too horribly, if at all, as long as the clan cats remember to keep their claws sheathed. If someone breaks that, I can't say what will happen. As soon as Renegade calls out Dawnstar, as you know he will, is when we turn the tables. My rogues will be attacking Renegade's rogues, and I shall battle Renegade to the death. If all goes as planned, then if Renegade falls, my rogues, as well as the clan cats, will drive out the evil rogues, back to where they belong. We are not going to be using your healer alone, our own will either aid you, or just treat us." It was a well thought out plan, but what would happen if Renegade didn't fall?
