Machi blinked. So, this cat wasn't as perfect as she had assumed he'd been. That had been so interesting, far from perfect. That was great. Maybe this was her kind of 'perfect,' since the definition she used for true perfection, was 'terrifying'.
Again, she blinked in surprise. She then shook her head, trying to get herself to say something, anything.
"Wow," the she-cat murmered.
Scratch that. She didn't want to say anything. 'Wow' was a terrible way to describe this.
"I never expected that. I thought you might be like all the other cats I've ever come across, just a bit quieter. But... this was unexpected." She didn't seem upset by the fact this tom could speak to rats. Yes, it was very strange. But it was also... something that she found very good, very interesting. She liked it. "Maybe we're more similar in a couple ways than I thought. I mean, I have no ability like that... but I suppose I can be 'different'... in ways..." she shrugged.

Eyes watching the female before him, Yuki only sat in silence, as though he had nothing more to say. In truth, he didn't. At the moment, he was rather shocked at what he had done. Never had he been so careless about what he did around other cats. And to show what he could do, to a cat he had never even met before? It was insane, and a first for the usually anti-social tom.
As she fought for words, Yuki had a guess about what she would say. He had heard it all before, on the other times he had accidently shown what he could do. It was nothing that he hadn't heard before. The usual shock, and then the caution, which ended up in them finally leaving. It was all the same story. Ears flicking as he caught the 'wow', the blue tom resisted the urge to sigh. He would probably have to leave now. Great. Just great.
"There a lot of differences between a normal cat and I." Yuki muttered softly, memories just flashing into his mind. Yes, there was a reason he was different. He would never be like them. He was nothing that should be. A freak of nature. At least, thats what he had always been told. What suprised him the most though, was the fact she seemed intrested in his ability, not frightened by it. It was always said there is something new to every day. Well, today, that saying was true.
"No cat is the same. They are all different, in a way." Yuki said softly, words being whipped away by the breeze.

"Yes, yes, I suppose. I think... the odd thing about me would be that I'm too normal, though. Boring. Plain. Nothing stands out," Machi murmered. "You're the opposite. But that also makes us... the same in a way. Because we are both very different from others..." she was choosing her words carefully, speaking quietly. The reason she found herself boring was because before she'd been sent away by her parents, they would talk about her to others, while she was standing right there.

"But what is the definition of normal? If there is no way to describe it, how can you say that you are too much of it?" He mewed, watching the she cat beefore him. She was different from the others as well. How could someone consider themselves too boring, and plain? Personality is what makes a cat, not looks, or what they can do. How strange this was though to Yuki. "The logic is a bit twisted in places, but it seems to work." He muttered softly, eyes turned toward the clouds. The only reason he was so different was because of what he could do. Aside from that, he was worthless. That was what he had always been told as a kit.

Machi, unsure of what to say now, glanced up at the sky. The sun was climbing a little bit, and the dawn was slowly merging into a brighter, but at the same time less blinding light. Many cats would have found the sight beautiful, enlightening, joyful. But it just seemed too perfect, to Machi, who squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, and then looked down ont he ground. She was tensed though, looking as if she'd do anything to bring imperfection to the sky. She hissed a bit without realizing it, and her claws were digging into the ground to make sure she stayed in her place. Though she no longer lived with her parents, and had not for quite some time now, she still felt as if she were walking on one thread, and was about to fall. That was the feeling she had felt most of her life, and it still had not yet ceased. For a moment, she forgot the silver tom was there, and she bristled, feeling as if tension were suffocating her. Her muscles were tensed. Then she opened her eyes again, and forced herself to relax. Her whiskers twitched, both out of embarrassment and also out of discomfort.

The dawn was finally breaking, the magical moment having finally passed, leaving a general feeling of being alone with the silvery tom. It was always that way, he feeling as though he was worthless to everyone, he was there without a reason. Past shaped the future, and the past was shaped by the present. There was no escaping the memories that haunted a lonely soul, no many how many layers it was buried under, as one tried to. Little as one may think, your life is not run by your actions. Only the foolish think that, as when are you ever in control of your life? No, your emotions run your life, every action having a reaction, and more often then not, regret follows that action. We all live in a world of regret, remorse, and sorrow. Some things may be lifted, but it is never really gone. A broken bone can be healed, with the right tools. A shattered memory? Some say time can heal those, just as it heals a broken heart. Whoever says that though, is dead wrong. Time does nothing, other then leave wounds to fester, slowly killing the one it had infected. You just could never fully heal, that wound growing more and more irritated by the passing moons.
The feeling of unease which Machi felt was all to obvious on her. From her random little attack like thing she had just seemed to have, from the twitch of his whiskers, it was all so readable. Everyone was, especially when someone could find out everything that there was to know about someone in a mere moment. There was a secret that Yuki held though, and that was the fact he was uncomfortable as well. It had been too long since he had last been around someone and was actually relaxed. With his breathing problems, he couldn't always do things as easily as the others, creating a weaker air around him should someone choose to observe him. That was why he lived alone, aside from the memories, but also because of the fact nobody would ever understand him. He was alone in this world, without a sould to care for him, and sometimes, he wondered, just why he chose to go on. Without any one to care, who would even blink if he just dropped off the face of the earth? Only the rats would miss him, but they would heal faster then anyone. They were used to that type of thing, after all.
Clearing his throat slightly, ears flicking a bit, Yuki looked curiously at Machi. "Is something wrong?" A simple question, but maybe it would solve a lot of questions about this stranger, who for the most part, had seemed to accept his little talent.

Machi shifted her weight, from paw to paw, trying to make herself think of something to say to this tom, who was kind enough to tolerate how incredibly boring, but at the same time far, far too strange she-cat. Surely, he would only laugh if she said what was really wrong, and she'd never open to a stranger, even if he was nicer than most. She cast her glance downward again, as if ashamed, and didn't answer for a while. More shifting her weight. Then she exhaled. "No, no. You don't need to worry about me. That is, there's nothing wrong..."
