The small she cat had done a wonderful job of roughing herself up. With the help of a few dyes, she had created, with the help of the two she had chosen, very realistic gashes all over her pelt, and even managed to walk with a faint limp. With her pelt all roughed up, sticking the wrong way in other patches, and a bit torn looking in others, Adder looked the way she knew would snare the unlucky passing clan cat. It was just the matter of when to act. Ears pricked, the black and gold splotched cat could hear the step of a warrior, a warrior that was alone. Grinning slightly, malice in her eyes for a split moment, before it was gone. It was time to act, and if not getting the clan cat this way, then by force. Taking a deep breath, Adder stepped forward, making herself loose her silent step, and make it the stumbling gate of a frightened kit. With her eyes wide, face tearstreaked, Adder fell forward, landing right next to the cat, whom some part of her said was a tom maybe? She couldn't tell, too much dye around her nose. Rythymntrance and Tear were nearby, she could sense them.
Gasping for air, although obviously trying to be quiet, Adder looked up at the other cat from the ground, pale blue eyes wide with pure terror, body seeming to be covered in wounds, and obviously having had something horrible happen to her. There was actual blood of another cat on her, enough to cause alarm for anyone. "H-h-he k-k-illed my-my MOM." The lost 'clan kit' wailed softly, eyes still glazed over, but glancing around as though she could see something the cat beside her couldn't. Whole body racked with tremors, tail puffed up, Adder got back to her feet, only to stumble again, this time behind the older cat, as though she was looking to him for protection. "My mom and dad, both gone. Stripped from me." She whimpered, before looking at the other cat, horror and pain in her eyes. The pain was what shone through the most though, a raw, unfiltered thing that was gut wrenching.
"We were out, taking a w-walk in the woods as a family. My siblings were out there, my mom, and my dad. S-suddenly, a-a-a pair of rogues, they, they came and murdered my mom before anyone knew what was happening. A-and then, when dad tried to fight, they killed my siblings." Wailing again, and looking back at the rogue lands, shuddering again, one could only imagine what she had felt, when the blood of her family had splattered all over her pelt, hiding a majority of her markings, to cause such a commotion. "And then, they took dad away. I followed them, and then, they trapped me in a canyon. They, they said that they would ki-kill HIM too. I- I raced away, and it HURTS SO BAD, seeing his gentle face. No one would help me though, nobody cared." Voice cracking slightly, Adder buried her head in the other cat's flank, eyes wide and filled with tears. "One of them, he got bored, and he left. Said something about doing better things. I-I can't FIGHT though, I'm only a KIT. I don't have any TRAINING." Her voice cracked again, as the young cat seemed to loose all control, and slid to the ground, making a fresh dye open up enough to look like she was bleeding again, this time from the back of the neck.
"Puh-lez! You have to help me! I can't do it alone; but if I try to, try to bring a patrol, he said he would murder my dad, and make me watch. You have to help me! Your my, my last hope."
Suddenly, the 'young kit' stiffened, eyes wide with alarm. "No. No. They, they've found me." Her voice was a dead calm, all the life having gone out of her. It was as though she had lost all hope. "StarClan, I'm sorry. I TRIED so HARD." Murmering, Adder watched as Tear and Rythymntrance appeared. They would drag her off, as planned. Raising her head, Adder stepped forward, actions obviously trying to protect the other cat.
"He has done nothing, leave him be. The poison has already started to kill me, I offer you no struggle. I only wish for my father to live on." Voice dropping at the last part, so only the cat beside her could hear, Adder fainted, collapsing to the ground in a heap, looking as pale and cold. She wasn't dead; the faint rise of her flanks told them that much, but she was getting close. "The cure. Its. In the canyon." A faint whisper, and then, silence. It was time for Rythym and Tear to do their job.
Adder only hoped she had done a good enough job on her part. It, at least she thought, had been a good performance.

The tom wasn't ready for something like this. He'd long since retired. Why should he have to deal through this all over again? In his glory days, he'd been the best pick for a deputy. But now, ashes of the former left to reside, he was no longer strong enough.
Until Tear pulled herself from the bushes, dragging the kit away. A kit...So young. Alone. And yet, Ruggedlark was content to sit. What kind of cat was he?
The rogue she-cat continued to act, best as was she always able, and took Adder away.
"Death to the family of this kit, though it may already be wrought. Death to those not noble enough to fight for their own cause. And as such, life unto me and my comrade, for we fight for what we believe in. We fight for Renegade, in bravery, and through pain, for he is King. For him, here will lie the ruins and bones of his enemies, for none are so noble and none as noble will live again. Over her wounds, I send Renegade's curse. A curse to those who are cowards. Never can we be stopped, even by a cat who once knew true glory. A cat who could slay half a clan with a single claw. No, I dare say, not even Ruggedlark can stop us now."
She chuckled darkly, pretending with her practiced speech that the elder was not there. Egging him on in hate and defiance. She was an actress unlike all, that was for sure. It was a wonder she wasn't already a spy. Guess Renegade failed to mention that part to Adder. But perhaps, as she would soon learn, cats were not trustworthy. When Renegade said Tear was good for nothing but amusement, he lied. Tear was the most powerful one of them all, and there had once been a time, before her Great Breaking, that even Renegade had feared her.
Ruggedlark's anger raged, and, playing to the trap, he raced from the bushed, claws extended. Rythymntrance did her job, mock fighting the old cat. She back him up closer to Adder. It was no longer her turn to wage this war.

How easily everything was going! The old one, thanks to Tear's great performance, had fallen right into the trap, and now that they were far enough away from the borders, it was time to act. How weak the clan cats were, didn't they know that they shouldn't trust anyone? Even those that seemed to be innocent, and oh so young? The Clans were weak, that was all that she could say. For it would be trust that was the downfall of even the greatest. Even Renegade had fallen because of trust. It was something that had to be killed, and killed without passion. Even now, as Rythymntrance fought mockly with the older cat, he was unaware that she was not dead, as she had claimed to be. In truth, she had never been so alive. Her claws seemed to itch with excitment, and although she knew that waiting was important, it was more difficult then she thought. Finally though, that old tom called Ruggedlark was close enough for the plan to take effective action. This clanner wouldn't live to see another sunrise, that much was for sure. Grinning darkly, the young she cat suddenly sat up, pale blue eyes dancing.
"Never trust anyone, much less someone who walks on the path of darkness. Your time has come, Ruggedlark of DuskClan." Her voice was cold, sober, as she stepped forward. Ears flicked back, tail lashing, she made an impression already. When she was sure she had his attention, a sharp grin flickered to her features, the flames in her eyes dancing. ”How pitiful the clans are. To think, I didn’t even have a clan scent on me.” Making sounds of disapproval, the black and gold she cat suddenly lunged forward, her claws sinking into the older cat’s throat. There was no warning; no mercy. Crushing his windpipe, the death was quick and easy, and not a cry would escape him to alert the other clan cats. He would though, be able to see who she was. Once upon a time she had been like him, a clan cat, weak, and thinking their ways to be correct. Fate had changed her though, made her into something powerful, even with her young age. Never again would she go for the authority, and never would she care about someone else. They were just a burden, as well as a hazard. The life she knew was gone, and the blood which splattered her pelt from the DuskClan cat was proof.
Grinning slightly, Adder turned away from the fallen DuskClan elder, turning back to Tear and Rythymntrance. ”Very well played.” Nodding her head to the two she cats, Adder flicked her tail. It was time to leave this scene, and return to Renegade. She had finished her task easily enough. Having brought the clan cat to the canyons as she had been asked, and then simply disposing of him, it had all almost been too easy. As she entered the cavern, the two she had chosen by her side, the she cat seemed to glow with something that wasn’t bad in the canyons. She would survive here.
”Things have been accomplished, Renegade. Ruggedlark of DuskClan has seen his last sunrise.” Eyes gleaming, she knew the silver tom would be here, Adder looked around the cavern, although she was not exactly looking for the other tom. He would be found when he chose to be, and not a moment sooner. That much, she knew, and could accept.
