He didn't even bother masking his scent. The gray tom stomped through the meadow, trampling down the long grass, on his warpath and leaving a Pewterclan scent trail. Big deal if it caused any inconveniences. It didn't matter anyways. Never before had he ever got into a fight this big. There was no turning back. Both brothers had gone so far that neither was willing to back down. Aceslash continued to march, plowing through everything in his path, the faintest trace of tears, just ready to overflow. If he had been a she-cat, he was pretty sure he would've already broken down and bawled. He felt terrible, for hurting Havoccrypt again. The last time that Adito had left Havoccrypt, he'd been devasted. He loved her. He knew that the words that they'd exchanged cut both of them deeply, and the hurt was unbearable. It wasn't really his brother's fault. In fact, his brother had actually been the voice of reason, the one who was right this time. But his brother knew him too well. He was the only one who could have gotten to the point so quickly, so deeply. And that was what made it hurt even more. The fact that everything Havoccrypt had said was absolutely, painfully true. Why he was here, he didn't even know. This was the place where Havoccrypt would most likely be, and the tom didn't even want to face his brother right now. Yet he was drawn here. This was where they'd spent so many happy days as young apprentices. Here was where they could forget all their problems, all their worries. Where they didn't have Goldstar punishing them for whatever mischief they'd caused/ Finally, reaching the middle of of the meadow, Aceslash gave up trying to hold it in. Digging his claws into to ground, he threw back his head and roared, all the pain, anger, guilt, sadness and a mismash of all the emotions that had been building up from deep inside his being all present.

The she cat had been just sitting in the sun, thinking about life, and a cat she had met, one that was different from everyone else she had known, and who had been on her thoughts for a while now, as the day in the rain returned to her. After settling into a light doze, she had been a lot more relaxed now days, since she had finally broken away from the rogues, it was amazing. Of course, if she ever did go back into the canyon, she would probably be killed, but at the time, she saw no reason to go back into them. There was no need, anyway. She had given up her siblings for dead a long time ago, and living alone, it didn't really bother her too much anymore. In fact, it was rather nice, aside from the fact she did miss the company of others occasionally. Light brown eyesclosed in a doze, it only took one yell to snap her out of it, eyes wide.
There was no mistaking who it was, for there was none other she knew so well. Before she even knew what she was doing, Ballad was up and armed, claws unsheathed, and a dark gleam in her eyes. She had been a rogue, and she could fight dirty. She would kill however was hurting the voice she knew so well. Moving forward swiftly, the ginger, black, grey, and white she cat burst out from the grass, whirling in front of the tom, fire burning in her eyes, ears flattened back, and maw drawn into a deadly snarl. As soon as she saw there was nobody that she could kill though, all the defenses dropped, and Ballad whirled back to Ace, the pain in his roar still ringing her ears. This was no foe she could kill, but she was going to help him, even though scent told her that he was a clanner, something she couldn't stand since her rejection as a kit. Things like that didn't matter now though.
Stepping forward, Ballad murmered softly, trying to calm down Ace but be effective as well. "Ace! Whats wrong?" Eyes filled with concern for the tom, she nudged him gently, offering a shoulder to lean on, and comfort from someone who cared.

He hadn't cared who heard him or saw him. It would've felt better if someone had killed him then and there. It was probably a lot less painful. But as soon as Ballad's scent and her voice reached him, his legs gave out. Aceslash collapsed onto the grass, the pressure and burdens on his shoulders too heavy to allow the warrior to stay standing. His golden eyes were squeezed tightly closed, and he bit his lip to keep back from making any noises. His entire frame shook, with the silent sobs that wracked his body. He buried himself in Ballad's fur, breathing in her reassuring scent. Besides Havoccrypt, the multicoloured she-cat was probably the one whom Ace trusted the most, even though, other than that particular, fateful stormy day, they hadn't really talked to each other. She had been a rogue, and he was a warrior. They came from the two ends of the forest's spectrum, yet there was a bond, a common understanding, that had brought them together. Struggling to regain composure, he breathed in deeply, Ballad's scent having somewhat of a calming effect. "Nothing." He muttered, though his voice still shook. It was obvious that he was lying; even a newborn could have seen through his lie.

Light brown eyes narrowing slightly, although her concern only deepend when Ace just fell to bits at her feet, Ballad was obviously going to find the end of the story, even though Ace may not want to share it. Determination was a strong thing, and in her, it ran deeper then most, and this was only making it rear its head even higher. Although it hurt her to see Ace, the one who had always understood her, like this, she knew what she had to do. He had listened to her problems, it was time to return the favor, if he wanted it or not.
Batting him gently, but with a bit demanding mannor, it was obvious that any lie wasn't going to work here; she just knew the tom to well. "Horrible attempt at a lie." The she cat said, eyes still focused on the tom before her, being as in control as possible, even though she still wanted to kill someone for this. If only she could find a way to help more then just words. She couldn't do much around others aside from Ace, it was just instinct. She had been alone to long, if she was to deal with a mass amount of cats it would have to be with someone she could trust. Now though, being forced to act on instinct, she found that it wasn't as hard as she though. Gaze still filled with spirit, she spoke in a calm, reassuring, yet somehow controlling manner. She would be the level headed one, after all, if anything, she would be able to understand anything Ace threw at her, she had basically been through it all before.
"Now, I'll ask you again." Her tone, as well as her gaze, had softened considerably as she spoke. "Something happened, and your not helping whatever it was by not telling me. Plus, you'll feel worse and worse until you tell someone." Gently, the multi-colored she cat pressed up against Ace, concern obvious in her manner. Ballad acted tough around others, but now, she was showing her true colors.

By the prodding and relentlessness of Ballad, it was pretty clear that she wasn't going to leave him alone until she got to the bottom of the matter. Trembling slightly still, he continued gulping in lungfuls of air until he was steady enough to speak. However, Aceslash didn't return her gaze, instead, his gaze fixed on his paws. An argument." He murmured, fidgeting uneasily. He felt helpless, weak. Like he was a kit again, being scolded by his parents, and the Pewterclan leader. He wanted to make himself smaller, smaller than a speck, so he could be unnoticed by the world. "With my brother." Ballad knew how close he was with Havoccrypt, and had seen them together with Adito. That had been long ago. And now, with things as they were, it didn't even seem to be in this lifetime. It it hadn't been Ballad who was with him now, he probably would have ripped them to shreds.

Thats all she needed. From there she could fill in the blanks, for she knew a lot about the two from her watching them when they were younger. The black one, Havoccrypt, had always been hot headed, but for im to run off, and Ace to act like this, then the fight must have been rather nasty. Judging by the way Ace was acting, Ballad would bet that he wasn't the only one a bit.. torn up, by the word battle. Casting her gaze down at the tom before her, although he wouldn't meet her gaze, Ballad could basically feel the hurt coming off of him, and was going to do something about it. "Ouch." She muttered though, before regaining her gaze back at the tom. She could feel the word battle still, and it was sharp. "We have to act fast then; if anything Havoc will be upset, but not like your upset. He'll be angry, and looking for a fight. In these canyons, nothing will go well with him. He isn't here, I watched him race past here a little while ago. At the time I didn't know it was him, he was covered in rogue scent."
Going into the canyons; a warzone if she was spotted. Bit, Ballad found herself not caring about her well being right now, she was going to help find Ace's brother, and hopefully amend things. She just wasn't going to tell Ace about the whole 'exile' thing. Not now, anyway.
"He has to be in the Canyon. Come on, we need to find him before someone else does first."
Maybe a little action would help this, as she gently nudged Ace. Time to search.

Reluctantly, Ace got to his paws, swaying a little, before being still. He was probably the last person Havoccrypt would want to see, and it was the same for himself too, but maybe for different reasons. But he could see the reasoning behind Ballad's words. His brother had always been hotheaded, and blinded by the hurt of Ace's betrayal, there was no guessing what he would do. He nodded a single time, both for himself and Ballad. "Let's hurry then." He mewed, voice strained, and he willed his legs to move, towards the canyons where they would most likely find Havoccrypt.
((To the other thread then. Sorry for being on and off. I'm doing Biology now...><))
