Pale green eyes shifting carefully, Havoccrypt was perched just a few feet above the entrance to camp, unseen by all who were passing by. Carefully, so not to alert kits or his mate, who was a bit odd at the moment, Havoccrypt made a smooth leap to the next tree branch, this time it was outside of the camp. Narrowing his eyes in amusement, the process was repeated a couple more times, until there was no other warrior he knew in sight. With one last sly glance around, the black tom sailed down from the tree, landing with hardly a sound. Picking himself back up, for the impact had caused him to roll a bit on the soft floor, Havoccrypt smirked slightly. Who ever said a mate and kits would tie you down? After all, he had managed to escape their demanding clutches. Green eyes dancing with laughter, the tom stalked forward, following a scent that he knew all to well; and knew would go along with whatever he had planned. Today, it was a bit more odd then most days; but with or without Aceslash, Havoccrypt was going to do it. He was restless; tired of being stuck in camp caring for his mate and kits. He needed some chaos.
A foolish cat would have thought that since the black tom had become a father, he would have settled down more, and stopped his rebellious ways. That he would have become calm, like the other warriors. Brainwashed. If they saw the tom now, as he was stalking the long haired grey from in front of him, they would have been astonished to see that no, Havoccrypt was like one of the few things that never changed. Rebellious to the bone, and always looking for something to do. Scheming, plotting, planning, what fun was that? Especially when you could just react on impulse. That, and the fact that he enjoyed Aceslash's company as well as voice of reason no matter how little he listened to it, was what had made Havoccrypt take his brother on the first adventure, and then on everything else really. Lately though, Ace had been getting more and more distant, a fact that often worried the tom. He would follow his brother to the ends of the earth; but it was harder now with mate as well as highly spirited kits. The promise still remained though.
Mostly, the black tom could only think that Aceslash must be bored. After all, he had been spending a lot of time with his other family, and without any chaos, there was really nothing to do. Pale eyes narrowed, Havoccrypt had to hold in a snort. Aceslash needed a she cat, someone that would love him and keep his attention. He was so distant with the other she cats around here though, it was amazing that they still had that hopeful gleam in their eyes. If there is someone else; he'd better introduce me. Havoccrypt thought, with a shake of his head.
Finally in position, the black warrior seemed to burst out of the bushes, having been downwind of the warrior so his scent hadn't reached the other tom yet. With a defiant battle cry, Havoccrypt landed square on top of Aceslash, beaming in the mischievous way only he could. Quickly leaping off of his brother and whirling to face him, playful green eyes sparkling with something that wasn't mischief, but wasn't anything bad, Havoccrypt suddenly sat down and washed his paw.
"Erase any plans today you had. I'm bored, and I have the perfect plan." Stopping his wash, the strange warrior made eye contact with his brother, grinning slightly in a way that promised more chaos then most.
"We've been to the Rogue Canyon and Loner's meadow already, why don't we go bother some kitty-pets? Or the Circuits? They are always a lot of fun."
Had he asked Goldstar? No. Because thats what the answer would have been; no. And where would the fun be in that, really?

Aceslash sat alone on a jutting rock near the camp entrance, a spot overlooking much of the clans' territories. It was one of his favourite places to go to, when everyone else was in camp, doing whatever it is that they do. His golden gaze was clouded, distant, as the longhaired gary tom stared off into the distance, his mind wandering beyond the clans' lands, down into the meadow where the loners resided, and every so often into the dark depths of the canyons themselves.
Recent things confused Ace so much. Ever since he'd caught the gaze of the she-cat with Zane during the battle, things had become less clear. It felt like he'd seen her before...like they knew each other. A connection? Impossible. He'd never met her before in his life. Yet his thoughts still wandered back to her every so often. And then there was that other she-cat, the one from the meadows. Ballad. She was understanding, and seemed to be able to know what he was thinking. He enjoyed her company, maybe even more that the far-fetched scemes and plots that he always participated with his brother, no matter how odd and dangerous.
Aceslash was well aware of the unrelenting glances and gazes of she-cats in the clan as he drifted among the other warriors. It was undeniable. The tom was reasonably handsome, but with the mental and emotional state he was in right now, he just wasn't interested. Lately, especially with Havoccrypt having to spend time with his mate and kit, Aceslash had just been following the same routines everyday; he would wake up in the morning, go on patrol, go hunt, eat, then go to sleep. It was as if the old energetic tom had been replace by a zombie, a shadow of his usual self.
He was startled by a cat, landing on him, and though he was caught unprepared, he whipped around, instinctively throwing his attacker off, and bristling, ears pressed tight against the back of his head, and lips pulled back in a vicious snarl. But as soon as he figured out that it was only Havoccrypt, he tried to relax a bit, though his eyes were still narrowed, tail lashing, agitated. "What do you want?" He growled through grited teeth. He paused, sighing and calmed himself again. "Sorry. Where are we going?" He'd made a promise long ago, to be at his brother's side unconditionally, no matter what they got into, and he was going to keep that promise. He was a tom of his word, after all.

Ears flattening at Aceslash's response, Havoccrypt bristled, pale eyes narrowed dangerously. He was a cat of short temper, not to mention he had been shocked by Ace's reaction. It had unsettled the tom, but only proved his thoughts correct. Tail flipping, still bristled although Aceslash had already said he was sorry, Havoccrypt obviously wasn't going to calm down that fast for anyone, it just wasn't in his makeup. To give him credit though, he was trying to relax, it was just harder then average considering all the stress that he had been under. He had always been able to hide his own feelings from everyone aside from family; which was the whole reason everything always appeared to be alright around the tom. It was so funny how the truth could be covered up; about how hard it was to managed his kits with Depthvision being so out of it. The kits had finally fallen all asleep, this was his first time out in ages, and already it seemed today wasn't going to be one of the best days. It was times like these that he missed Adito, and his apprenticeship. Way back when life was easier, more carefree.
"Whats the matter with you?" Havoccrypt suddenly asked, eyes harder as he thought of how Ace had been the past few moons. Unable to sit still, the tom rose up and began to somewhat circle, never taking his gaze off of the warrior in front of him. "Something happened to you; you lack spirit and everything else. I used to think that I knew you; but you've changed. You mope around, sure others don't see it, they think your normal, but I do. All you do is the same things over and over again, like you aren't even there in your mind, just acting as though you were nothing more then a mindless drone. Just like everyone else." His voice was hard, clipped, although he could hold back the anger, and was that hurt?, in the last part of his sentence. Havoc wasn't done yet though, for he was going to do what he should have done a long time ago. Ace needed to come back to him, for although he did have a mate and kits, there wasn't anyone really who honestly could understand him. So, he was going to attempt to bring his brother back.
"Ever since that battle with Renegade, you've changed. Its like your a stranger to me. You don't even say 'hi' really anymore. You just leave me wondering if I did something wrong, or if your going leave the clan sometime. Everyday you get farther and farther away, more distant to everyone." Havoccrypt had stopped pacing, and now stared at the grey warrior with eyes brimming full of just fire. He usually wasn't this hot headed, but this was an issue that bothered him to no end. Stepping forward, he was only a foxlength away from Ace now, and obviously almost finished with his rant.
"And I don't think I would be able to stand it if I lost you like I lost Adito. You two are always going to be the closest to me, and now that she is gone, your all thats left. With Depthvision being odd now, and never leaving the nursery, I don't have many more places to turn. So, yoou are coming with me. We are going to find whats bothering you, and then I'll deal with it. And then we can be family again."
Ace's zombied state had hurt Havoccrypt more then he had let on at camp, but now it was all coming clean. Whirling, the black warrior stalked off, toward the loner meadow. He would find the problem, one way, or another. If anything though, he was going to help Ace, even if it killed him.
Because he cared that much.

That was it. As Havoccrypt's words hit their mark, Aceslash's anger flared, his face now less than a tail-length away. He was normally the voice of reason of the two, the one who kept his head in a battle. He didn't usually lose his temper, being usually more mellow. His golden eyes blazed, scorching, in their anger. "So HI. Happy? Believe it or not WE'RE WARRIORS. We do whatever it is that warriors do. And that is following the warrior code. Doing the duties that Goldstar assigns. Not everyone is a rebellious troublemaker like you are. Sorry if you can't accept the reality of things." His usually cheery tone was absent, replaced by a cold, hard one. Never before had the two brothers been at it this badly. They got into small arguments every so often, but they were never mad at each other, and the arguments never lasted long at all. "If you thought you know me, well sorry bub. Time for a reality check. You never did. And never will." That might have been harsh, but it was also partially because the gray warrior didn't even know himself anymore. Who was he? Was he really Aceslash, warrior of Pewterclan? Or was he some other cat, a rogue or a loner by the name of Ace? He just didn't know what was real and what was not anymore. "It's not all about you. The world doesn't revolve around Havoccrypt."
Ace didn't budge, even as his brother stalked towards the loner's meadow. Instead, he stood his ground, unsheathed claws scraping and pressing painfully against the hard mountain rock that made up most of Pewterclan territory. Red splotches seemed to cloud his vision, his blood boiling, and his body pretty much itching for a fight to take out his anger. Ever since they were kits, Havoccrypt and Aceslash had been pretty equally matched in terms of skill and speed. They'd fought together many many times in battle, but never against each other.
In a quieter voice, Aceslash turned his golden gaze away, and murmured, barely audible. "Just leave me alone."

Whirling, the pain that flashed in Havoccrypt's eyes was gut wrenching, and although at one time the tom may have swelled up and shot back, this time, he didn't. It was as though something had been damaged inside of the tom. Turning, he started to walk away, but not before saying something. It was soft, making one focus to hear it, but full of a quite weariness, and ancient pain. "I was right. You have changed, and now, I've lost everything that I thought I knew."
Walking away, there was only one last response from the tom. "I hope you enjoy your solitude Ace, and don't regret what you've just done."
And with that, the black tom was gone. His scent had wavered out, and it was as though he had never been there, aside from the pain that still lingered in the air in the meadow. He hadn't told Ace where he would be going, and right now, he didn't even know himself. Allhe knew, was that he needed to get away. To get away from the pain, from the suffering, and from the anger. He hadn't come for a fight, he had come to have some fun, and then to help cheer up Ace. Like with so many things though, it had gone wrong.
Without even stopping, Havoccrypt rolled in the rogue/loner scent, and just walked away. He would come back later to his kits and mate, but right now, he needed some time alone. Ace's words were still ringing in his ears, and they would forever be like a burn to the tom.
