It was dusk, and a haze had already started to settle over MapleClan, hiding some, and making others seem as though they had never been there in the first place. For one, it was like a cooling blanket, as she simply slipped out of camp before anyone could see her, to a place where she had found comfort at long ago, when life still made some sort of sense, before everything just became a day of trying not to snap at the new apprentices as they got under her foot. Getting used to sleeping with others again had been a hard thing to do; having all the space in the apprentice den had made her used to those shivering nights, where she could move without accidently bumping into someone. Not to mention she had to hold her tongue when someone older then her stepped on her, less she get a smart cuff in the ear and something about apprenticeship. Maybe that was what had led to these trips, as the blue grey warrior just tried to get away from everyone. Every night it was harder and harder to go back though, to a place where she was alone, when she could just as easily walk away from everything.
There were none that understood her, that she could really call a friend, or even family. All she had left was her father Darksun, and even he was too busy with Trueforge to help her out with much anymore. It made Eclipsingsun feel more exiled then ever before, and it was at moments like these, that she wondered exactly why she had come back from the loners, when she was obviously not wanted here either. Something had always held her back though, for some reason, and even now, as her paws itched to just cross that border, Eclipsingsun found she could only race along it, her speed gradually increasing until it was as though she had never been there in the first place. She had always been fast, but her speed had increased since she had started these nightly runs. Tonight though, she wasn't going where she usually had, no, that place was getting old, and needed a break. With a split second desicion, as well as a qucik dodge of a tree, Eclipsingsun whirled around and raced through the haze, not really knowing where she was going anymore, just wanting to escape everything and everyone.
Maybe it was her barbed tongue and explosive temper that had kept everyone off, as being very open with her feelings, Eclipsingsun was blunt to an extreme, something that bothered a lot of cats, and had even made them angry with her. Some thought she would go to Sunclan for what she said, but that didn't bother the she cat. After getting insulted by a StarClan warrior, SunClan seemed to be a whole lot easier place to get along with everyone. After all, she didn't need anyone to guide her pawsteps, as she would stray off her path as long as she wanted. The typical life of a warrior would never be something that Eclipsingsun would get. From saving her sister from death, to running of to join the loners as a kit, she had been marked by fate and tongue, leaving her the outcast of the clan.
Skidding slightly, and with a leap, Eclipsingsun landed dangerously close to the edge on a dead stump, and just sat, pelt relaxed but eyes as full of fire as ever. While most cats would be distressed, saddened, and just a miserable pile of tears and agony, the loss of two sisters and mother did that to you, Eclipsingsun was different. No, she didn't get upset. She just got angry, and when she was angry, her outbursts were more and more dangerous, as her tongue flew, casting insults that were as painful as they were true. They could all live with her, it was just the matter of finding someone who was like her as well, something clan cats just didn't have.
But, not all cats were as they seemed to be...

His sister would be furious. He had been supposed to meet her at the Cave Tunnels awhile ago, but he had forgotten while he had shared tongues with a couple of warriors while eating a vole. Carbonfox wondered vaguely if he should've caught her something. It might have lessened her temper. A little. Snitch was his sister and they both had sharp tongues, but Snitch's was perhaps the edgiest. He twisted his lips into a grimace. He should just tell her that she might as well try being the spy...saying thanks to starclan after every sunclan-darn meal! The arguments played out in his head, going down many roads of possibility. Anything could happen right?
Ducking under roots, around trees, over boulders, his mind wasn't really on his feet or surroundings. He had the root mapped out by heart and his feet always managed to send him to a skidding stop by the tunnels. Something must have moved, though. He jumped. A boulder was usually where his paws were supposed to go, but instead there was just thin air and he came to a halting stop. Halting stop meaning face-plant-into-really-hard-earth type of stop. He hauled himself up, blinking quizzically, his whiskers twitching as he tried to free dirt from the slender wires. He started running again, looking from left to right to try and get his bearings again. It was amazing how darkness could distort everything. Maybe he should ask directions? The idea made him laugh. He could just imagine himself asking a fellow warrior where exactly he was. Nah...
Suddenly he looked in front of him to see a cat. WOAH! A cat? He swerved quickly, trying to avoid the she-cat, but something happened...something brown.....SMACK. He stepped back, dazed. Were those little evil Snitch smiles dancing around his head. He shook his maw, looking for the she-cat.

The sudden appearance of the unknown tom, at the rate he was dashing about she couldn't get a good look at him, Eclipsingsun didn't have enough time to jump back, and it was only by luck that the two didn't collide. Rather, the she cat rolled, quickly getting back to her feet, and the tom ran headfirst into the stump she had been sitting on only moments ago. Shaking the dirt abesntly off of her blue grey pelt, Eclipsingsun's eyes focused on the tom; she identified him as Carbonfox, one of the many warriors she had only seen at a distance versus actually talking to them. "That was smooth. Although I thank you for mostly not running into me" The warrior said in a slightly dry tone, although her words weren't as barbed as they usually were. No, the whole running into a stump thing had amused her, only because it was done on pure accident. "I'll leave it to imagination, but I'd have to say a stump wouldn't be the most comfortable thing to run into." Oh yes, there it was. A softer barb, but still one that had a bit of an edge to it.
Stepping back from the tom Carbonfox, Eclipsingsun's light blue eyes were filled with several different things. Fire was the main one as usual, but there seemed to be a touch of concern in them too, although it was faint and nearly unnoticable. In the darkness, she was more visible then most with her pelt and eye color, making her stand out more then Carbonfox, who with a pelt of grey and black, was only seen by his yellow eyes. Still unsure if he was hurt from the stump, the warrior offered a faint smile, tail tip flipping slightly. "I'm afraid your going to be late for wherever you were going. Hope you didn't have any important plans tonight." There was faint humor in her tone, but it was obvious that there had been somewhere Carbonfox had wanted to get, nobody moved that fast around here at night. And although she did happen to be curious, Eclipsingsun was not going to find out unless he told her.
Why would she want to know anyway? It probably wouldn't be anything interesting; just some clan based thing.

There was a gonging from far off. Hoax knew it. Yet, there was nothing. The ringing filled his head and sung its loud tune up to the high heavens so that he could barely hear the world around him. His vision was no better; stuck in a loophole of endless dizziness. Eventually, it cleared, though. That left him staring Eclipsingsun in the face (her very obviously blatant face, may he add). His own head, with his tabby pattern and dark grey and black, was barely noticeable in the darkness. And it was very dark. Only his eyes and gulping breaths that sounded more like pants would be the tipper of the balance- that yes, he was indeed and in full reality, THERE. No that his senses were coming back to him, he realized how let he would be. Oh dear, maybe he shouldn't even come. But that would be the second time he'd missed, and third time could be the charm. The snake's charm that is. Meaning possible injuries to various parts of the body. Snitch had awfully sharp teeth and claws when she was angry, but unlike most she-cats, she wasn't all that cute when mad. He'd have to hurry.
Hoax hadn't really gotten most of what Eclipsingsun had said, thanks to the ringing, obnoxious bells that had gone off in his ears, He had watched her phase in and out of his eyesight. She had seemed to duplicate and subtract. In fact, the whole entire world had. Note to self: Don't run into stumps (Or anything for that matter!) on a regular basis. It isn't healthy. He did catch her ending bit of barb, though. It made is blood run like the ice water that flowed down from Pewterclan. Colder, perhaps.
"I'm afraid your going to be late for wherever you were going. Hope you didn't have any important plans tonight."
Oh, she knew! He knew she knew because he just knew things like that. It was something you had to know! He could feel the premonition and suspicions sinking down to the very marrow of his bones. He was sure his heartbeat was as loud as thunder and was clearly visible through his thick chest fur. Now Snitch would have a fit. He was dead- roadkill. Hasta la vista, Hoax! As his mother would say: He was as dead as a kittypet in the cold. He tried to swallow, but it got stuck in his throat. So he tried another route. Rogue time!!
"How much do you know? I'm afraid that if it's too much you may never see another sunrise."

His reaction was not one to be expected; seeing as she had only been joking at the last time. However, her kithood training kicked in, as he spoke. Eyes going harder and narrow, an almost lazy, and obviously dangerous, air seemed to come from the she cat. Very few knew about her, and the little things that had happened to her as a kit. It wasn't suprising that the tom before her wasn't aware of her past, and although the threat in his tone was clear as daylight, there wasn't a single flicker of fear in those light blue eyes. Rather, it was a cool, judging gaze, as though she was trying to read him, and see how serious he was about the death threat. Death in general didn't frighten her; she just didn't want to get anyone else of the clan hurt, due to the fact there was no way she would go down with a fight. It was time to tread carefully, for he was hiding something, something dangerous, and secretive. There was no clear way though, to bridge this strategy. Maybe the best thing to do, would be to act as though she knew what he was talking about.
"You'll have to find a stronger motive. Sunrises are overrated anyway, it wouldn't be anything I'd miss." The blue grey's tone was clipped, and her gaze was unwavering on the yellow of the tom beside her. Obviously, he had been a rogue at one point in his lifetime, if not, still being one. Only those who lived without the restrictions of the clan at one point in their life could speak, and appear, the same way he was. The same way she was. It was all in defense, but still. The two had something many of the clanners didn't; a feral edge, willing to cut down if the need was there. Hopefully, there would be no blood to be spilled tonight. "Besides, I really don't care."
She didn't know what the big secret was, but maybe, jsut maybe, there would be a way to get information from the grey and black tom. And it was true, she really didn't care what he was up to. Her loyalty had always been questionable in the clan, and nowdays, it was only a thread, ready to be snapped in a moment's notice. After all, she had nothing to stay around for, just the memories that had been created here. Cool gaze still on Carbonfox's, there seemed to be a challenege in them, that she was daring him to do, to say, something.
