The journey to the Mooncave had been simple enough. They had gotten there right in time. It had certainly been a rough night. Not only had the ceremony been held, but Dawnflower's mental collapse had also happened. Adding Darkstar's getting his nine lives topped off the night with possibly the most tiring night she had ever had. She had slept a little as Darkstar had gone hunting for the two of them. She would've, but she was far too old for journeys such as these.
Her bones now ached in the premature light of dawn as the pair stood in front of the Circuit Cat's elusive barn. They had made it, with the help of some loners along the way, but now the question was getting in. No one had seemed to know, and if they had they hadn't told them. Frostwinter sat down heavily, a panted sigh following. The structure seemed dark and musty, and she wondered if, indeed, they actually lived in such a place. There was the slight tinge of two-leg scent, but even that sent her stomack recoiling.
"Maybe you should look around," Frostwinter suggested with a yawn. She wondered now why she had promised the clan that they'd be back at dawn. From the way the sky was starting to change she knew with a resolute knowledge that they would make it back to Crescentclan at Sunhigh at most. "I would go, to, but you are far younger and your strength exceeds mine. I feel like another step and I will keel over an be no more use than a leaf." she smiled feebly, "I'm sorry, Darkstar."
With a final stretching of the mouth she settled down in a patch of cool grass and curled into a ball. Her eyes were closed before she'd gotten completely settled, and one leg was sprawled out to the side of her. Her muscles seemed to visibly relax under the fur and it wsa obvious that the respite was doing her some good. There was no time to muse over it for long, though because there suddenly seemed to be another presence watching. Indeed, a set of shining eyes opened and looked out from the darkness of the barn shell.

It was amazing, how much his life had changed the past evening. It had all started with Dawnstar, with the sudden cry that had pierced the otherwise quiet night. Things then had turned rather bad, as it became clear that she was no longer fit to lead, forcing the silver pelted tom to step up to the leadership position, and select a deputy in only moments after figuring that out, and then, it was off to the Star River. It was there where he had recived his new name, and his nine lives. Each had been as painful as the stories had told, but it had been a pain that was livable, something that he had been used to, after the first few lives. StarClan was a place that he would have never thought of, the shimmering pelts and the general air of concern, yet they had been glad to welcome him.
Before they had come here, Darkstar had hunted, and given his bit to the elderly Frostwinter. Without the guidance of the older she cat, there was no doubt that the ex deputy would have been lost as he had attempted to figure out the Star River, and then to find this place. It was somewhere in which he had never wanted to go, the scent of them was everywhere, and the last thing they needed was a big fiasco over something. But, he was not going to have his clan die out because of pride, it was time to swallow pride.
"It is fine Frostwinter. I'll stand guard and maybe do a bit of hunting." Smiling slightly as Frostwinter was fast asleep, Darkstar had been about to set out, when he saw a sudden pair of gleaming eyes, causing the tom to stop, standing in front of Frostwinter, meeting eye contact with a pair of sharp blue eyes.
"Hello. I come with news about CresentClan." Darkstar's tone was lighter, trying not to be hostile, but with an edge all the same. It was time to dance...

((Only if it's a circuit cat. Oh, and you dn't know what the eyes look like, they're just reflecting in the dark.))
Epilepsy looked at the tom curiously, yet she didn't really look. Her supposedly blue eyes were in fact white reflecting the azure sky. Around the opaque blindness were vivid scars around each, looking like burnt spectacles, for they really were burns. Her whole entire face had flecks of fire aftermath, but her eyes were certainly the worst. The rest of her body was a general calico, splotches of black, brown, grey, and white spread over her pelt randomly. Another odd thing: She was upside down.
The she-cat was the perfect guard for the Circuit Board in this way. She simply defied gravity and that's how she rolled. Her paws were snuggled under her chest warmly and her tail flicked against the ceiling in boredom. Yes, she was on the roof of the entrance tunnel. When she sensed that Darkstar was near, she walked gracefully down the side of the tunnel and came to stand on the normal ground.
"Wow, I forget how weird it is down here." she meowed in disgruntlement.
She looked up at the sky unseeingly, and seemed to be lost in it's greatness, yet her whiskers twitched towards Darkstar, as did her attention, although it was not a physical gesture at all. In fact, she was perfectly still except for her whiskers, yet the fact that she knew the leader was there was still imminent. Finally, after taking a deep breath she looked towards Darkstar. She didn't quite meet his eye, rather her gaze grazed his and wandered over to a tree standing a little ways behind him.
"What do I care about this Crescentclan you speak of? I don't sit here to gossip you know."

A pair of green eyes appered also. Then a tortiseshell she-cat stepped out of the shadows. "Darkangel? Is that you? Where's Dawnstar?" Toph inquierd quietly. (SP?) She'd last seen him as the deputy. "Did she lose her last life?" Toph was very worried for Dawnstar. She'd met her when she was a deputy herself.

((Whoops. Sorry.))
As the Circuit cat became more visible, the silver tabby saw that he had been wrong about the eyes. In fact, thanks to their milky color, he couldn't see what they had been at all, not that it bothered him. His own apprentice had been blind, he was well used to the clouds that hid the eyes. One thing though, that he would never get used to, was how strange the Circuits were. Simple reason told him that cats should be on the roof, but here was this calico to prove him wrong as she came to greet him. One always got the strangest feelings around the Circuits, as though you were being watched by someone you couldn't see. In most cases, you probably were. Who knew, the barn had always been home to the Circuits, no other cats knew about the territory, or the barn for that matter. It was unnerving to those who were used to the feeling of knowing what, and who for that matter, was around them. In this case though, the fact that the two seemed to appear from nowhere made Darkstar more wary then the general feeling of just being watched. He was used to that.
"Gossip is not what I carry with me today. I have only the facts with me, and I'm looking to speak with Clopar, regarding the cure." Who had time to gossip, really? There was a clan to get back to, although he was sure that Eternalblossom was taking care of everything just fine, not to mention the patrols to be brought togethor to collect some of the rogues, if he ever got the chance to speak with the more then slightly insane at times Clopar. The ceremony he had done before he had left for the barn ensured that there was more then enough new, eager warriors to defend the clan if anything happened, but like with all new leaders, Darkstar wasn't happy unless he was in his clan. Not that any of it showed though. 'Poker face,' was something that the silver tabby had learned long ago, which maybe was one of the reasons he had been brought up as deputy in CresentClan. Nothing seemed to have much effect on him, Darkstar always being level headed and calulating. Right now was a good time to use that little talent you might say.
Seeing the familiar face of Toph, one of the Circuits that had fought in battle, Darkstar began to answer her questions in the same, cool tone he always used when dealing with things outside of his clan. "That is the whole reason we are here Toph. And it's not Darkangel anymore. It's Darkstar." Sharp eyes still watching the two cats, his stance slightly more relaxed but all the same still on guard beside Frostwinter, Darkstar waited for the next volley of questions, probably from Toph, about Dawnstar and what had happened. Nothing would be answered in full though, until Clopar arrived.
Of course, the strange yellow tom probably already knew what had happened anyway.

"Oh, didn't know. All I know is that StarClan will truly honor Dawnstar's devoted leadership. But what happened? Don't forget if you see a mouse with circuit scent on it, it'll most likely be from me." Toph smiled with anxiety. She had to be careful since some circuits didn't know her darkest secert. "I heard about Silverstar from," Toph paused. She'd almost gave it away. "the gathering." Toph finished with a sigh. "I suppose you need to see Clopar?" She looked up at Darkstar's gaze. It seemed like nine lifetimes were packed in altogether. She then turned around and headed towards the canyon.
(( I shall now mercilessly kill my kitteh! ))

((This thread's been sitting here for three months? ... Really? *Headdesk* ))
Speaking of the Devil, from up high on the great, dusty twoleg monster that tucked away under the rafters, a voice greeted theothers, "Hey! Congrats, Darkie! I had heard that Dawny lost her marbles!" Clopar's black paws were crossed in front of him as he sat ontop of the 'Tractor', as he called the monster. He had a friendly grin on his face and his ears perked. Why not? Dawnstar's breakdown hardly concerned him. In fact, it was kind of funny. "Now, what did you come to say?" The moon seemed to brighten as he lept down and crossed the floor to the CrescentClan cats, the pale light seeping through the splits in the barn's walls, illuminating the cobwebs and knick-knacks that littered the residence. Most of which had long since been abandoned by the twolegs who had farmed here, but recently disturbed pieces scattered about, things that the Circuits had brought out of interest and kleptomania. Clopar's purple tail curled into a question mark as he sat in front of his audience, a forepaw raised to ask, 'Well, go on?' to Darkstar.

The silver tabby's gaze looked upon Toph's gaze, just watching as she spoke. Asking questions about what had happened was not exactly a good way to make friends with the new leader of CresentClan, but in the future things would change it seemed, as Toph was headed to her demise, although the two didn't know it. "Many leaders are stepping down due to various reasons. Time changes, as does life. And yes, I am here to speak with Clopar." As much as he didn't want to. It wasn't as though he actually minded the other cat, but sometimes, he made Darkstar wonder about what exactly he was meaning. There had to be something underneath the surface. But what?
Of course, if one is to speak of the strange tom, then one must expect him to be present. Looking up to see Clopar laying ontop of a twoleg monster, Darkstar's ears pricked up slightly. "Once again Clopar. Your sources are a incredible." It was better if one didn't think about how many sources the circuits had, it would save a lot of questioning, plus the possiblity of insanity. Something that needed to be avoided at all costs within CresentClan. When the circuit leaped down from the two leg monster though, the silver tom's mind returned to what had brought him here. Raising up his head slightly, curious gleam having gone out of hid gaze, to be replaced with the matter at hand.
"Dawnstar, as you know, is no longer the leader. Her word of CresentClan not accepting your offer is gone. I have just come to let you know that CresentClan has accepted your offer, and as soon as I leave here, I'm going to get a group of clan cats, and we are going to gather the rogues." Hopefully the other clans would come to their senses, although it had really only been Honeystar that had said no. Of course, if nobody convinced her, then things would be rather.. interesting, in the other clans.

"My sources? Of course. They are numerous and work for peanuts. And the occasional cashew." Clopar grinned, straightened his back and curled purple tail around his paws. He was sitting like a regular cat would, diplomatic and gentlemanly, but in his mind he thought, "Oohh man, what an idiot. Sniffing us out with just his medicine cat? Had we been anyone else, his little reign would be cut short by a sharp claw!" The Circuit smiled sweetly at Darkstar as the Clan leader continued. "Whatta schmoe." "I'm glad to hear it!" Clopar chirped, aloud. "That means you're all one step closer to ridding yourselves of this nasty little affair." He licked a paw and flicked it over his ear, speaking about the sickness like a nasty case of sneezes. "Of course, though, every Clan needs to work together on this. So it looks like you'll have some talking to do with Honeystar. Though-- I'm not so sure Honeystar will be the one you have to convince." Clopar chuckled, and blinked at the CrescentClan leader slyly.
