((My attempt for Zephyr(excuse my spelling please. XD) and Zurna... Z's!))
Zurna stepped lightly forward; stalking a fairly plump mouse. It scratched around then stopped, flicking it's ears as though listening. The tabby stopped and didn't even breathe at this point. She was so hungry, having not eaten since yesterday morning when she had taken scraps from twolegs. When the mouse tried to run she let out a lsight hiss and scrambled after it but missing it as it disappeared under a tree root. She stuck her paw in trying to see if she could get it to come out to no avail. She finally gave up and padded back over to the pond.
The pond was alive with bugs and a few frogs. Bird chirped and tweeted above in the trees. It made an interesting combination of sounds.
Zurna found it fairly nice. There didn't seem to be any cats around at the moment so she just laid down her head flopped onto the top of her front paws that she set in front of her. While her tail fell beside her and her back legs were tucked under he body. The she-cat flicked her yellow eyes back and forth searching the undergrowth and pond for any other cats. The last thing she needed was a fight. Especially when she was weak from hunger.

((You spelled it right XD Though I spell it with two 'e's the proper spelling for the word is with only one :3 14 Points. ))
While the animals croaked, peeped, and chirped below, up above a different cacophony was heard. Leaves rattled, wind whistled, the trees made groaning and creaking in retaliation. Miss-matched paws carefully stepped on the smooth bark of a willow, the owner peering down at the water. Down there laid a particularly fat bull frog, lazing on a lily pad and begging to be caught. However the lily pad sat smack in the middle of the water, taunting any cat who wanted it for themselves. But there was always up. A branch ran out over the water, slippery lichen hanging off of the limb like a curtain. Anyone who looked would notice a huge silver tom cat, form broken by white and black stripes and a long mane. Slowly moving across the branch and over the water, taking care not to fall off, the tom stared at the frog. Positioning himself above the lily pad, his tail twitched, blue eyes wide in concentration. Suddenly he fell, or jumped, off of the perch, paws outstretched as he landed square on the frog. The water pulled in at the massive splash, then ballooned, swelling out in a small wave that lapped the bank.

Zurna was surprised by the sudden lap of water at her paws and lept back. She looked out at the water to see what had caused the massive splash and notice Zephyr. The tabby sh-cat wondered why in the world would a cat be in the middle of a pond; or any body of water for that matter. Curious, she made her way around to the tree that housed the branch Zephyr had used. She stood at the edge of the pond looking out at the water.
"I'm curious. "Why are you in the middle of the pond?" She asked cautiously.

Monochromatic paws flailing as the tom resurfaced, he came up complete with bullfrog in mouth and the look of a drowned lion. That mane might trap a lot of air, but he wasn't a CrescentClan cat, and he was obviously struggling to keep a float under his mass. Eventually though he made it to solid ground, walking out of the pond streaming wet with long fur hanging down heavily. Side-eyeing the she-cat with hard blue eyes, he spat out the frog, grunting, "I was thirsty." Bull frog totally forgotten, the less-then-intimidating-while-wet-tom shook, splashing water all about. "The better question would be why someone's wandering about out here by themselves, while those rogues are acting up. Unless you're some vigilante who's vowed revenge against entire rogue kind because they killed your parents in front of your eyes or something, and you're struggling with one to four different disabilities but eventually good wins out over evil and you succeed. You'd be surprised how many of those we get out here." His mane fluffed up, instantly doubling his size and obscuring his vision. It also made him resemble a giant silver teddy bear.

Zurna dipped her head as water hit her. Shaking her fur out she glanced back up at the tom. "So... When your thirsty you go for a swim too?" She asked tilting her head slightly. The tabby cat was unsure what this wet tom was talking about. She knew little of the rogues. "Uh... about the vigilante, no. My... Well one of parents is still alive. But my father wasn't killed by rogues as far as I know. And my only disability is probably the fact that I couldn't hunt a stick and catch it." She replied trying not to talk too much. Then again she normally wasn't too talkative, but if you got her going she could give a lecture. "So if that's a better question what about you?" She asked lifting her head slightly still looking at him.
((Not so much. XD))

(( 10 Points for both posts. )) Shaking his head to dispel the view-obscuring fur from his eyes he grunted, "Yes, swimming's fun, plus I need the practice for when my sister tries to drown me." He was speaking metaphorically of course. Though they lived in different castes, he and his Clan cat sister Icefire were very close, and Icefire routinely snuck up on the poor fellow and tackled him into some body of water. "I wondered why you looked like a starved mouse, can't hunt? Well you had better learn or find a Twoleg to take you in. Feel free to some frog, the oil's good for your fur." Hooking the limp bullfrog in his claws, Zephyer tossed the amphibian at Zurna's paws. If there were plenty of frogs hopping about, might as well share with your peers. Zephyer was a respected Loner, who had helped out both Zane and his predecessor Warheart in the past. However he wasn't much for first impressions, for good reason, in times of war you never knew whether or not if that friendly fellow you met that morning was really a rogue out for blood. Perhaps that was why he never really knew someone outside his sister, no one wanted to associate with a hulking sarcastic brute.

"Heh, well twolegs don't exactly agree with me I suppose. But I am working on hunting." Zurna replied. She glanced at the bullfrog and decided she couldn't be picky. Prey was prey. "And thanks." She added nudging the bullfrog slightly. "I'm Zurna, got a name?" The she-cat asked and introduced herself. Since she was pretty much clueless about the rogues, clans, and anything important that was going on she didn't know hardly anything about the other loners either. Glancing at the bullfrog again she bit a piece off and chewed. It had a strange flavor, but when you hadn't eaten anything, aside from fox dung, tasted good. Although it was bit squishy. She then poked it with a claw for good measure. Yes, very squishy. It looked like something she would like to get a hold of and play with. As in toss it around a bit. Bullfrog toss. That was an interesting thought.

(( 10 points ))
"Yes." Black-tipped tail twitching, front paw lifted to groom, he glanced at Zurna. "I'm Zephyer. Nice to meet you, Zurna." His tongue lapped at his paw, pausing to raise it to clean his ears. He had seen most of the Loners in the valley at some point or another, so it was rather unnerving to come across one he'd never met before. But still, this kid was rather hopeless. Moving his paws close together he looked at the frog-poking-she-cat, huffing, "Well I don't see why you're having trouble. You look very much so like a stick." He let out a sigh. How did she grow up without learning to hunt? "But I can't stand to see a hungry cat, if you want I'll teach you to hunt." His tail twitched and he looked away from the she-cat. Battles and war plans were a picnic, but talking to a girl? That was difficult.

((Well I find your post quite funny. XD Specially that last bit. LoL.))
"Well I suppose I can't exactly be called fat then..." Zurna muttered. She hadn't learned how to hunt very well because she had been born into a kittypet home. But she didn't like it much there. "But yes, I would appreciate some help with my hunting skills." She added simply. The she-cat seemed to be simply ignoring the toms sarcasm, sighing, and huffing. Zurna didn't always notice those things. The were too easy to ignore. "You've been a loner for while haven't you?" Zurna asked, sitting down and ripping a piece of the frog off to eat it.
((Short. XP *headdesk* Eh, maybe the next will be better. XD))

"Yes, if you're fat, I'm not... Fluffy." On his shoulder a piece of mane threatened to puff up, but Zephyer turned his head, gave it a short growl, and it decided otherwise. "Yes, as with most cats here I've always been a Loner. Though you might meet some that used to be part of a Clan or the Rogues." Settling into a drawl, Zephyer totally ignored the fact that Zurna wasn't street-wise, therefore didn't know of the forest cats he spoke of. "We get plenty of old kittypets, too. And the occasional wolf wanders in, but they don't bother us much. Actually I met a psychotic brown one at one point, but that's not important right now." He stood and stretched, shook out what was left of the water in his fur, and took a moment to check the air for any other cats. Nope, no rogues about. "Now first of all, I'm assuming that it was you I heard scrambling about in the leaves?"

The she-cat tilted her head slightly as he growled at his fur. "Well that works." She commented. "Now clans are... Like a bunch of cats together in one area? And rogues would be... I don't know. I just know what the general meaning of clan is. As for wolves, I know they're are pretty much dogs." She said thinking it over. "Er... Well yeah, that was me. The mouse was running away so I tried to run after it." Zurna answered. If cats could blush, she would be. It was quite annoying that her hunting skills were so poor. It was embarrassing and bad for her health. Not to mention it made her feel like less of a cat. Because even some kitty pets she knew could hunt better then her. She had the general idea but the technique was down the drain for her.

(( LoLz me ttlly reliable!!11!))
"Well, there's your problem." Zephyer turned and trotted up into the woods, tail signaling for Zurna to follow. "Leave chasing to the field cats. What might work best for you is covering more ground in fewer steps. Try using your hind legs and putting more distance in your pounce." The silver tom's ears pricked and swiveled, searching for a target for his aspiring trainee. "Yup, you're pretty close on those counts, too. The Clans are big groups of structured cats, and the Rogues are renegade little bands, but wolves are a little tougher then dogs. Watch out for them." He suddenly dropped and crept under a holly bush, peeking out the other side just slightly, where a quiet rustling stirred the leaves under an acorn tree. "Vole." Zephyer whispered, "Try and get it. Remember; More jump, less run!"

((Yes. Yes you are. XD))
Zurna nodded slightly. That made sense. Her darker pelt would blend in with the shadows also. At least that's what she assumed. Since it was a legible assumption. She followed after him, glad for the hunting lesson. Once she reached the holly bush she crouched low; determined to get this right in front of the tom. The tabby let her breath come out slow and even, so it would be quiet. She then glanced down, just in case there was anything she was going to step on. Nodding slightly to acknowledge she understood she watched the vole move through the leaves. Positioned right, she leaned back a bit more and pounced. The she-cat was slightly off but she still landed with one paw over the creature. She grabbed the vole and killed it with a bite to the neck. Ha! Zurna had done it! The younger cat lifted the prey up smiling the way a cat can. "I actually caught." She said setting it in front of Zephyr. "You gave me the frog, you want this?" Since she had eaten already she wasn't very hungry anymore.
((Bleh... If I, say, missed something. I probably forgot. A little behind on SC. XD))

Zephyer stiffled his breath as Zurna launched her attacked. But there! Only a slight flaw, but she caught her target well, and succeeded on her first try. "Well done!" He peeled himself out of the holly bush and leapt over to the beaming Zurna, smiling smugly himself. "You got it on your first leap; I'm impressed. You're a very fast learner. The voles of the wood need to keep their eyes peeled from now on." He praised, and touched noses with her in congratulations. "That's very nice of you. But how about we share? There's plenty of frogs about so I don't think I need a whole vole either."
