Puppet Master looked across the boarder. His thin body was still. His black and tan fur rustled in the wind. He turned to Sorrowdrop "Are you sure this is right. I mean, you have told me about them... but what if they don't accept me because I'm a kitty-pet?" "They will accept you. Look at you. Your barley living. You need someone to watch you... other than your old owners." Sorrowdrop's soft voice was almost blown away by the wind. Her small body mad her look like she could be Puppet Master's child. "You know I can't watch you because your people don't like me in the house." Puppet Master shock his head "I know, but why can't I be a rogue, or a loner like you?" He asked. "Again, you need someone to watch you. Rogues will kill you because you are weak, and you don't want to be a loner!" Sorrowdrop said. She sniffed the air. "It would be rude just to walk into their territory. Plus they might take it the wrong way...so we will wait."

The reeds made dry rattling, shaken by the wind. Air zipped through the branches of trees, making the vines shiver, and hollow groans and shrieks come whistling down from the tree tops. Together with the peeping of emerging frogs, one could either consider DuskClan a horrible creeping place, or subject to beautiful orchestra of natural elements. Creeping low to the ground, hidden beneath the waving reeds, stalked a grey cat. His head darted up for a split second to take a look at the strangers at the border, before quickly bobbing down again with an amused smile on his face. As he moved the slight chiming of bells rang. Ears twitching downward in realization of this, he muttered, "Whoops." To himself, shaking his head rapidly to cease the ringing bells. Satisfied that he was bell-free, he muttered, "That's better!" To himself again. The grey tom jumped out from his patch of reeds, looking over with a tilted head at Puppet Master and Sorrowdrop. By the smell of him, he was a DuskClan cat. "Well well, strangers at our border, eh?"

Sorrowdrop was a little startled by the cat but Puppet Master was still. "Hello." He said as he bowed his head respectfully. "I am Puppet Master. I have come here to join your clan." He tried to make his voice smooth, even though he was cold. He had to make himself strong. He will be a clan cat soon... he was hoping anyway. Sorrowdrop ruffled around the grass below her. He felt Puppet Master's gaze on her. She looked up and also bowed her head. "I am Sorrowdrop. I took Puppet Master here to help him. I would come with him but your leader might not take me." She studied the Grey cat. He looked... suspicious. "Who might you be?" Puppet Master asked.

She was a older warrior, but not the most social of all cats. She had come to DuskClan as an adult, warrior they called them, but her heart still was torn between her old home, and this one. Being the fierce warrior that she was though, temperamental was a nice way of staying it, Twilightfur had no plans of leaving her home. Not when there was the whole Renegade problem. Did she look like one who wanted to die so young, when she hadn't even had time to consider taking a mate? The answer for that question is a bit more then obvious.
"Intruders." Her voice whipped out, a low growl. While not exactly hostile, there was no warmth in her tone. Her sharp eyes were focused on the two intruders, although she was feeling a bit interested in the tom beside her. She had never seen him before, but usually, scents didn't lie. Then again though, Silverstar may have accepted him when she was out hunting, it was possible. Silverstar didn't hold too many ceremonies anymore. Secretly, Twilightfur thought she should just step down, every day it was a new interest, to see if Silverstar had survived the night. Of course, everyone kept that to themselves, but it was still a tad obvious.
"What makes you think you would help, not hinder DuskClan? We have to reason to trust anyone in these days." Twilightfur mewed, eyes flickering across one cat to the other. Her black brindle pelt remained flat, for the moment. She doubted that these cats would raise a claw, the one called Puppet Master was obviously in bad shape, but the one called Sorrowdrop was seemingly in good shape. No matter what was said here, Twilightfur was not to trust anyone, until they had proven themselves worthy. It was a good, and bad trait.

Sorrowdrop took a step back while Puppet Master took a step forward. "We may help your clan to whatever is needed. We will except any job. We are not picky. We would just like to join. If we do 'hinder' your clan, we will leave when asked. Sorrowdrop has told me what she knew about the clans and some passers have told us. You seem like you have an organized and safe what of living but yet not lifeless." He spoke with confidence. It rang in his voice. But he didn't have too much confidence. Most of the time he had none. But he had to protect Sorrowdrop by getting him and her into the clan. Puppet Master thought Sorrowdrop would get hurt if she was alone again.

"Well. Isn't this just so heart warming. It seems the kitty has confidence in getting what he wants." A cold voicw rang out, before the black striped white apprentice stepped out of the gloom, where there had been no cat only moments before. His light eyes were hard as eyes, glinting darkly in the half light of DuskClan. The posture of the apprentice was loose, muscles obviously ready to attack, should the other cat prove a threat. Claws unsheathed, Shadowedpaw made a scary looking tom, even if he was only an apprentice. Darkness was what called him, the opposite of his brother Gravitypaw. They had been an odd litter, some light, some dark. There was no need to ask what Shadowedpaw was.
"What makes you think you can survive Clan life, kittypet?"
The apprentice said with a low growl. While Twilightfur may be just a touch hostile, there was no mistaking the hostility coming off in waves from him. Ivory claws unsheathed, Shadowedpaw's eyes watched the two cats, tail flicking ever so slightly.
Yes, he was a dangerous cat.
((Sorry. I've been wanting to use him for a while. =hugs cat=))

Puppet Master stepped in front of Sorrowdrop. "Put your claws away kitty. We aren't here for a fight." He sighed. "I can survive because I can go a long time with no food. I won't take much prey. Plus, I jump fences everyday so I am a good jumper." It was true. His back legs were pretty muscular. "I have never fought before but I could learn." He tired to stay calm. He could tell that apprentice would get on his bad side soon. Sorrowdrop looked out behind Puppet Master. She let out a low growl "He is barley a Kittypet. Don't underestimate him." Puppet Master was a little shocked. He had never heard Sorrowdrop growl.

Growling at Shadowedpaw was obviously not a good idea. While before his posture had just been more hostile then the adult cat's, and had started to slowly relax as the other cat spoke, the growl made him seem as though he was just holding himself back from leaping onto the other cats. "Who said you can order me around. Do you think you have that type of control over me. Let me tell you something. No outsider will ever, ever, have any control over me." He said in his low, dangerous tone. Eyes blazing with pure fire, Shadowedpaw was just keeping himself in control. The hours he had practiced fighting with his sibling Nightpaw showed in his very stance. The strong, yet lean shoulders, the muscle tone, mass, everything just spoke of a cat who was quick on his feet. Shadowedpaw hadn't fought anyone in a long time, and he was more then ready to start here. If they attacked first, then he could tell that to Silverstar, and they would never get accepted.
"Go ahead kitty. Attack me. We can see how much Silverstar likes that. I'm sure she would be so happy to let you join. After that."
The black striped white apprentice spat, obviously having fun here.

The grey side-stepped at Twilightfur's appearance, stopping to shoot a fanged grin towards her. He looked quite manic, for a DuskClan cat. His brown ears were wide, teeth white, and his right ear tilted downwards when the left pointed up. "Ohoho!" He chuckled, eyes flitting between Twilightfur and Shadowedpaw, "Twilightfur and Shadowedpaw, now it's a party!" In a swift movement he suddenly leapt towards Sorrowdrop and Puppet Master, stopping and inch before hitting them and almost touching noses with Sorrowdrop. "Ignore them, they're stupid. My name's not important right now. You're sure you want to join, right? Here, the bears run free, causing havoc and death with every pawstep... Cats devour each other for sheer sport and pleasure of blood on their tongue... Screams ring through the night, piercing the blackness with eerie wails that chill your heart and send spires of ice into your spine!" His eyes gradually widened through the monologue, a stare so disturbed and unending that your own mind would eventually be undone. Then, he flitted about next to Sorrowdrop, throwing a foreleg over her shoulder in a human-like gesture. He held out the other paw to the air, hugging the strange she-cat close, still with that blank stare into space, "And the gophers... They--" He whispered airily, eyes widening even more, genuine fear in his voice"The gophers... They, gasp! Sob! It's... Too horrible to describe..." The grey made a choking sound and started sobbing over-the-top, and quite fakely. Then he suddenly stopped, leapt back in front of Sorrowdrop, with a perfectly happy expression on his face. "So, still wanna join?"
((Oh gawd he's just like Demyx o.o ))

Sorrowdrop smiled. It was funny when cats try to scare her. "My parents killed each other. I watch the whole this. I don't this anything is more frightening then watching your dad rip your mothers leg off and you mom claw your dads eyes out as the blood ran past your paws." Her voice was dark. Whenever she talked about her mother and Father, it hurt.... but it was impotent that Puppet Master got in. Puppet Master ignored Shadowpaw and look at the tom that had his forearm around Sorrowdrop "Get off of her. Now! I do believe Silverstar would not approve of a fight." Sorrowdrop was like a sister to Puppet Master. That tom was pushing it a little to far. Sorrowdrop pushed the toms paw off her shoulder. She didn't feel comfortable near pretty much any tom besides Puppet Master.

"Oh, but I have seen what you have seen as well. Only, not with my parents. The metallic taste of blood, even through smell one can figure it out. The shreiking sound as limbs are torn, revealing only a mass amount of blood. The glazed look in their eyes as they slowly fall to the ground, whatever life that may have been left, dead as they suffocated in a puddle of their own blood. And then those with poison claws that just rip and leave, the other cat no match for what was on the claws. Be it a combination of ground up rattlesnake fangs, or otherwise. Then, there are the suicidals, ones who think that while nobodys looking, they can just get their lives over with. That they have nothing left to live for."
There was a dark, somewhat disturbing grin flickering over the maw of Shadowedpaw. Nobody ever knew how apprentices got so much information. The apprentice was worse then anyone though, his very personality having been turned towards darkness, ever since being a kit. This talk of death, of blood and torture, it had no effect on him.
"But that is not even the worst of it." The tom hissed, his eyes growing dark. "What the best part is, when the rogues battle the clans, is the slaughtered bodies, the aftermath. Even the kits, try as we might, are not safe. Their little bodies, looking out of place with the adlt and apprentice's, going to find their place early in StarClan, never to grown and have a mate, or children. And the whole time, it seems as though the very earth is soaked with blood." Eyes gleaming, Shadowedpaw gave one fanged filled, dark, malicious grin, before fading back into the shadows, as if he had never been their in the first place. The images he created with his sharp tongue though, still seemed to linger in the air, like a ghost of his being.
>><<
Twilightfur eyed the apprentice, getting another feeling that everyone in the clan was missing something about him. They had always known he and his sister were darker then the average cat, but she had never really seen him in action. Actually, she had never heard him speak before. The only cat she had ever seen him around all the time, and somewhat speak to, was Nightpaw, his sister. The puzzle seemed to just keep growing for those two, along with Gravitypaw, who seemed to be the exact opposite of his siblings.
She really was the only one who hadn't been as vocal. She sat in the shadows, black brindled pelt gleaming with good health, watching everything. As Shadowedpaw departed though, and for the first time silence seemed to fold over them, she found that she couldn't think of anything to say to that.

"Enough of this back and forth!" Puppet Master Bombed. "All we want is to see your leader. We are not here for your judgmental opinion. Now take up to Silverstar at once!" His voice rang through the trees. Sorrowdrop Glared at the apprentice. Nothing is as scary as watching your PARENTS kill each other. Yes, other cats it's bad but your own blood. it hurt. Like salt in a wound. the memory sticks on you like fresh sap from a tree. Sorrowdrop was so glad Puppet Master talked before she could say that outloud.

"Ahhh, there's nothing like the feeling of murdering your family!" The strange grey hopped happily, sitting on his hind legs and cupping his front paws. Giggling and side-eyeing the others with a grin on his face he scoffed, "You all are morons." He jumped in front of Sorrowdrop, pointing a paw accusingly at her, "You're a whiny brat who can't get a story straight, leg-ripping doesn't work that way." Before she could respond he had already shot in front of Shadowedpaw, giving the apprentice a rude comment too, "You're emo, just trying to convince yourself that you're dark and cool. Just because every cat in the valley is wearing eye shadow now-a-days it doesn't mean you need to." Then he was before Puppet Master, with a wide grin and narrowed eyes, "What makes you think Silverstar is any smarter than these dunces? Why do you want to see her anyway? I mean, she's nuts!" He picked up a paw and waved it in a circle by the side of his head, a human gesture that meant 'crazy'. "Now those Circuit cats! They have their heads on their shoulders. 'Cause they use duct tape. I hear their leader's very smart and incredibly handsome, to boot."

Ok, so he hadn't left. Really this conversation was too intresting to really leave it. Not to mention that he had growing suspicions about that cat, who even as observant as he had been, had never seen before. After appearing to leave, he doubled back, ignoring the comment from the mysterious stranger. He was going to figure out who exactly this cat was. It could be an older warrior, but he really didn't care if he got in trouble because of his behavior toward the outsiders. Comments didn't bother him, the other cats could think whatever they wanted about him, and words were only words.
Suddenly, the apprentice popped up behind the other cat, ice colored eyes narrowed on the other cat, fire blazing in his eyes.
"I bet you would hear that. In fact, I could say that you probably are a Circuit yourself, if not that 'incredibly' handsome leader that you so highly praise. You've never been around in any of the patrols that I've observed, nor have I seen you at any ceremonies. I don't trust you, nor like you. Show your real face!" The apprentice snarled, leaping at the other cat. Maybe he had been a little rash in his actions, but really, he did not like this strange cat. Clopar, their leader this one spoke so highly of, was not welcome in camp, and even if this cat spoke ever so slightly good about him, Shadowedpaw was suspicious. This time, he was going to find out exaclty who this cat was. For better, or for worse.

Sorrowdrop was going to stop Shadowpaw but Puppet Master put his paw in front of Sorrowdrop to stop her. "This is between them. If it turns into a fight, it is theirs. We can't interfere." He said. When Puppet Master was young, he saw many ally cats fight. He knew that they shouldn't step in. Sorrowdrop knew the same thing as Puppet Master, But she was afraid of Shadowpaw getting hurt. The strange cat was bigger and older. Though Shadowpaw hasn't been very nice to her in the small time she knew these cats, she cared for them. That was the thing with Sorrowdrop. she cared for everyone. Though she was shy and didn't like being around toms she hasn't know for over 8 moons, she had a heart. Death was the one thing she feared most. Not to herself, but to cats who talk to her or even pass her. And yet all she could do was watch.
