Total shook her head. "I'm fine." she said coldly. "Honestly." she turned away again. "First you complain about me being around too much, and now every time I get up, you act like you'll never see me again." she growled.

Stark sighed."You sure have an attitude. I don't remember telling you that you were around to much. But if it's that big of a deal. Bye." Stark said deciding he was done arguing an argue that would only end in a worse relationship with Total. She had been a lot better before Sandstone became mate with Verblassen. It was starting to get on his nerves though.

"Thank you." Total growled as she quickly whipped around and disappeared.
A white wolf was watching the whole scene. She had been here once before. As she watched the all-too-familiar scene of Sandstone trying to reason with Total, she decided he had no idea what she was like. "Its no use, trying to make her feel included or happier." Nanuk said. "You'll only make her angrier." she knew her daughter well. "She has pride in her actions, good or bad, and anyone who doesn't appreciate them or her can kiss her good-bye. She went through a lot before she could even understand it... I think it crippled her for life." the mother said sadly.

Ver hadn't said a thing the whole time Stark had tried to reason with Total. She knew there was no point in it. Once, the two wolves had been somewhat close, but with her mating Sandstone, everything had changed. never, would Ver ever regret what she had done though. Sandstone had always been right for her. It wasn't her intentions for Total to feel the way she had about the young male. Her multi colored eyes flipped over to Nanuk as the familiar white wolf entered the scene, after Total had left. Wordlessly, she found herself agreeing with what the white wolf said, but interest pricked through her as she spoke a bit of Total's past. It was a story she had never heard before.

Nanuks eyes scanned them all. "Because of.... what happened... Total feels like everything bad is her fault. She thinks the only way to avoid it is to keep her pride, to make sure no one else gets inside her. I'm amazed she's even in a pack, actually. I never expected her to trust anyone. SHe hardly knows if she can trust herself. I suppose the whole..." she trailed off, not sure how to title the inncident with Sandstone, Total, and Ver... "Triangle just pushed her back in her shell." she said finally. "She tried to come out once, and well, you all know how that ended up." she scuffed the ground with her paws. "Total just doesn't realize that people want to help her. She has some notion that if she trusts no one but that Romeo fellow, it'll kill her. Quite honestly, I think it actually might. She just... never trusted herself."
Total wasn't deaf. She also wasn't stupid. And she was smart enough to realize her mother was talking about her. Fighting back angry tears, and the desire to fight, she clenched her teeth and started back to the Den.

Stark lowered his head staring at the ground. An alien expression on his face. It looked to be anger. He was trying to settle himself. They had not blamed Total for anything. She had been fine when the pack had first started. He muttered something inaudible that would sound a bit like 'get over it' but it would be hard to tell. No one would be able to really understand what he said.
He sighed a strange sigh and looked back up his eyes now clear. Along with his normal plain expression."I'm sorry to hear that. But it seems as though Total has also heard." He said noting the scent and sound of Total."But I don't think she will really want to see anyone for a while." Stark sighed."Unfortunately I don't exactly trust Romeo. I fear for Total. But all shall be seen sooner or later." Stark finished calmly still gazing at the others.

Nanuk looked at the ground mournfully. "Its my fault what happened... I'll never forgive myself." she was clearly not talking to them for that short statment. Suddenly her attention returned to them. "She's very... complicated. Her heart is full of... well, I suppose all the fear and sadness and anger hardly left eny room for love, but she does have some." she gazed at them, hoping they would listen carefully to her next words. "Whatever you do, do not try to help her. Leave her alone, don't speak to her, don't look at her. When she is ready, she will come to you." her tone was serious, and she stared at the pack for a long while. "That is all I can help you with, I'm afraid." she said suddenly. "Its not much, but hopefully you shall be able to deal with her better." she started to trot away, but turned and looked Sandstone straight in the eye. "Do not be afraid to banish her. As long as she deserves it, you should feel no guilt." and then she was gone.

"Ignore her?" Stark said surprise coloring his tone."How...?" Stark asked in a whisper. He didn't know how that would be possible. He glanced at Nanuk."What's the point of it?" He sighed."I mean what's the point of being in a pack if you just going to ignore the members?" Stark stood up not sure what to do.
"It will be very hard... I don't think I could do it." He glanced at the others."Could you?" Stark asked his eyes looking over them all.

Plus had been listening as well. She had a habit of that, showing up without anyone noticing her. "Totals mind works differently than yours. She won't mind."

Sandstone just dipped his head in agreement. It was obvious the white wolf knew what she was talking about, after all she knew Total better then the rest of them. As she left he couldn't forget about her last words. Don't be afraid to banish her. Sandstone couldn't do it. He wouldn't banish a pack mate, not unless they tried to kill someone. He let out a sigh. "We can not ignore Total." was all he said. His blue eyes clouded with worry and guilt. His tail dropped a little, and his ears lay flat on his head. He wasn't happy, not at all. He stared at the ground beneath his paws. Every word Nanuk said played over and over in his head. It was his fault Total was like this, not Nanuks....

Plus shook her head and growled at Sandstone. "It shames me to say this, Sandstone." she said. "But I find it humorus that one as weak-spined as you has become an Alpha." with these gruff, hard words, Plus stared at the Alpha, not coldly, but almost a challenge.
((Just thought I'd spice it up a bit. No offense intended.))

A low growl ripped from the blood colored female. Her eyes were angered, and her posture erect. It was obvious that although the words were not directed towards her, she still felt the sting to them. There was no doubting the challenge in the female's eyes. "You say that because he cares enough for his pack, that he doesn't want to hurt anyone he doesn't have to. How does that make a wolf weak? Trying to solve all the problems can lead into a chaotic mess, yet Sandstone does what he can to help this pack." Her words were short, and cold. Her eyes danced with fire, yet she did not make anm threatning move to attack. Yet. Instead, her eyes bore into the other wolf, anger glimmering in them. "Why is it so wrong to be caring, and not banish someone who may not deserve it?" Her words were strong spoken, her tone low and somewhat dangerous. Yes. Sometimes, Ver tended to have a bit of a temper problem.

Plus smiled slightly. "I do not recall adressing you, but since you ask..." her smirk grew. "A weak leader makes a weak pack. A pack that feels they can do just... about... anything." she showed her teeth mockingly.

Nanuk's words came to mind, and Ver decided to see if it would work on Plus. Abruptly, she turned to Stark, ignoring Plus. "How to handel Total, this is going to be intresting. I won't be able to ignore her really." Her eyes were troubled as she thought of the problem. 'Banisment may be harsh though, unless the problem gets bad." She said, but she didn't smack down the thought of banishment.

His blue eyes looked up to meet the challenging wolfs. He snarled softly. She was getting under his skin now. He took the position of an alpha. His tail stood straight up, and his ears as tall as they would go. His pelt bristled slightly, though he too made no sign of attacking. "If it is a weak alpha to care about his pack, then I guess I'm weak. And if you can't stand to be under a caring leader, you might as well go up north." He growled, though he didn't bare his teeth yet. "I'm pretty sure you can live there without being cared for." He snorted, obviously not pleased with the normally shy friendly she-wolfs attitude. She of all people should understand her sisters needs.
