((This is off of the one with the Mapleclan cats. Right now, he is still in the group... XDD spiritcats.proboards102.com/index.cgi?board=thewolfwoods&action=display&thread=4277 )) Brody was silent, still turned away from the group. Fading away. His shoulder was bleeding steadily from Verblassen's rip, and his pelt was ragged from the tussle. It was what he deserved, yet it wasn't his fault. There was something wrong with him, and it was a part of him that he couldn't control. The brute regretted every thing he ever did it that state, especially this. Brody had just found a new pack, one that was slowly accepting him. Now it was ruined. The last pack he was in did terrible things to him because of it. They thought that he needed to be killed. That he was a mistake. But back then, this dark side was much more powerful, and took over much more often. The red and grey brute had lived on his own so long, trying to control this part of him, and gradually it started to ease. Yet the other pack always tracked him, believing that the world was being dirtied by him. Everyone he was scented by or with was killed by them, and they were still coming. Brody thought he had been able to control himself now, and that was why he searched for a new home. And found one. It was going pretty good, and at times when he felt the cold darkness creep up his back, he dismissed it quickly. Now at the sight of cats, all control was lost. At least Stark seemed to still like him slightly, since he was the only one who saw his frantic stare. The stare of help, it wasn't his fault. Maybe he should of let himself be killed before. Now, because of him, others could of been killed. Can possibly be killed soon. And the other pack was still on his trail. Brody sighed, and walked into the forest in front of him, leaving the gathering cats and wolves. He was going to run away, but felt that he had to explain himself first. So far, these wolfs were his only 'friends' and he thought they had a right to know about him if he was going to leave. He already caused so much trouble. Too much trouble. Brody sat down, eyes full of sorrow. When they were done talking with the cats, he suspected they would come to speak with him. And he would be waiting. Metallic orbs stared at the sky, and started to pick out branches and leaves off his fur. Obviously, by sight or scent, he wasn't on there territory before he attacked. And what he did there he regretted heavily...

Stark figured that they were done talking with the cats. Everything seemed calm and the offer was on the table so to speak. Her padded over to Brody to look at the male for a moment.
"What went wrong Brody? That wasn't normal..." Stark trailed off. He was off to the side sort of behind Brody but to where Brody could still see him out of the corner of his eye."Ver only attacked to keep you down. So don't take it personaly." Stark knew the female had some what of an idea of what happened. She had tried to knock him out of what ever was wrong. Stark hooped that Brody understood this.

He looked up only for a moment as Stark padded over to him, eyes full of regret and sorrow. "I suppose you all have the right to know now." Brody replied softly, picking out another strange looking leaf from his pelt. The brute sighed, turning to his pack mate. "Many things go wrong with me, I probably should of let them kill me... And actually that was normal." The red and grey male shook his head. "Outbreaks like those are common for me, just not lately." Brody's orbs scanned around, looking if any other wolf was coming. He really wanted Sandstone to come, since he was the alpha. If he really was going to leave, he didn't want to explain the story again to him also. "I already caused your small pack so much trouble- I really should leave, Stark." he barked in a low tone, a scared expression now settling on his face. Brody rebuked as if the other wolf snarled at him, hanging his head. "I'm a monster... you don't know the things I did. The things I do. I'm terrible..." He whispered, as if all the memory's of the ones he killed or hurt came to his mind.

Total came up behind him. "But you could control it, Brody." she said softly. "I know you can. You just have to master it." The reddish wolf pleaded. "I know your strong enough. You just have to find something inside yourself that will help you."

The brute turned quickly to see Total, and couldn't help but give a small smile. This pack did care for him, and it warmed his heart. Brody never felt like he really belonged, yet it was better then being homeless. "Thats the problem. I thought I did control it, thats why I seeked out a pack." He barked, remembering the long moons he spent training himself alone in the woods, trying to master his darker side. Of course the other pack was after him still... "I worked hard at restraining it, and got much better. It used to be more often and more violent. Happened almost every other day, and now it was so much better. Yet the cats activated it once again, and I couldn't hold it back like I did several other times while I was in this pack." His grey and red pelt blew in the slight breeze, as he stared into the pleading eyes of his friends. "You know where I was before? Know why my pelt reeks of strange lands?" Brody bursted out suddenly, eyes glazed over with more regret and looked as if he was about to tear. "I was on a cat clan territory, my dark side was controlling me again. There was a poor beautiful she-cat out hunting, and I ripped her apart. I saw my self doing it, but couldn't stop it! Now you see how much of a monster I am?! She's probably dead right now!" He spat, with much venom in his voice. Brody turned away from them once more, head hung. "I never know whats going to trigger it, and thats like a bomb without a timer." He whispered, teeth clenched together and eyes shut tight. ((Oh, yeah... we really did that. It was Bridgewater who he attacked. Its in the end of this thread, happening right now O.o ~ spiritcats.proboards102.com/index.cgi?board=rivercamp&action=display&thread=4243))

Total whined sadly. "You didn't have help then." she said. "We'll help you, won't we?" she said, glancing at Stark.

Brody smiled a fake grin again, eyes still drooped with sorrow. How he yearned to stay, it would be wonderful for them to help him. But he couldn't agree. "Total, I would love to do that, but its too dangerous. You don't even know whats wrong with me, I don't even know whats wrong with me. You would never know when I might explode and attack." He barked, shaking his head. "I don't want to hurt any of you. Every one here has been so nice to me... I would do everyone a favor by leaving." He whimpered, facing the cold, hard truth.

Stark thought over what Brody had said."But you are sorry no doubt. For what you have done. You did not hurt any one today despite how many cats were here. We kept whatever it is stable enough." Stark looked at the brute."There are things in this world that we don't and maybe never will understand. Along with that there are things we cannot control... Things that can control us. But no matter what we don't know and what ever tries to control us we have to keep fighting for some sort of life in this world. Whether good or bad we all want the same thing. We all want to survive. We are willing to help you survive Brody. We are willing to help you control this thing you don't understand. This thing that will fight till the end. Well... Then we'll fight it too." Stark had thought deeply about what he had said. He did not want Brody to leave no matter what would happen if he stayed. But in the end it was up to Sandstone.

Total decided not to say anything. Stark was better at cheering people up than she was. She shifted her weight to her left side, unsure what to do.

Brody whined. He yearned to stay, but knew that it would be so much better if he left. Stark and Total, wolfs of his pack, they were here, pleading him to stay. What could he do? The brute sat without saying anything for a few moments, looking up at the solid sky. Yet the thoughts of what he did to the she-cat played over and over in his mind, and other things he did in his old life... I am a monster though... Brody turned to his friends, a half smile on his fatigued face. "I have to talk to Sandstone. He deserves to know, and he makes the choice." The red and grey pelted wolf barked, getting up and shaking off his fur. "But I cant promise I can stay..."
((Blah))

The dark shadowy figure appeared from out of the brush. If one hadn't known they may have assumed it was death himself. His light blue gaze was the only thing that gave him away. The sparkle the young male held in his gaze. His body was powerful. It could've easily been used for the darkness, killing wolves weaker. But his heart matched his eyes, and his personality as well. Sandstone was definately a mix between his parents. His father was a ladies man, and his mother one of the sweetest things to walk on four paws. Earthstone may have made some mistakes in the past, but his son was careful. He trusted only those who deserved it. He cared for a few, but truely loved fewer. He was sweet to everyone though, only fighting when truely necissary. It could have been on of the possible reasons he was promoted to his high power. At first he didn't like it, like his father hadn't liked his power. He'd been just as happy just being part of a pack. One that cared about eachother. He knew deep down, that every wolf needed a pack who just cared. And this pack was the one for Brody. "I'd prefer you stayed." He finally spoke, his tone deep with thought. As an alpha he needed the strong healthy wolf in his pack. As a friend he didn't know what he'd do if he left. So he had decided, for the good of the pack, and himself, Brody had to stay. They'd all help him with his issues, if he just gave them a chance.

Stark glanced up as he leader entered. Once Sandstone had spoken Stark felt relieved. Brody was a valuable pack member and a good wolf. No matter what was wrong with him. The deputy shifted in his position and stood up."Well? Brody." Stark looked at the big brute. It was obvious what was being asked. Would Brody stay? Although the way Brody spoke it seemed as though he was staying. This was good news. The pack was small. But through this they could bond better then the huge northern pack. They would be friends here. No longer held back by trivial things such as the amount of wolves around. Along with lack of food. Here they had more food. It was easier to share the food too. 'Yes this is the better way to live.' Stark thought to himself.

The red shape was not far behind the alpha, only her eyes glittered with a differant light then her mate's. Ver had come from a differant land, and the language here was not her native one. She had a thicker accent to her words, but her judgment was fair. She respected her mate's descion, and nodded her head. She had heard everything, lurking in the shadows the way she did. "I'd rather if you didn't attack any more cats though. Don't want a whole clan down here attacking us." She said simply, knowing exactly what cat claws could do to a wolf's nose. The result was rather painful. Ver agreed with Sandstone and for the better of the pack, although she did not fully trust the red brute. It took a lot for Ver to trust anyone, and it was like a fine thread, easily broken but nearly impossible to repair. Taking her place by Snadstone, she glanced around the pack. It was a smaller pack, but she liked it better that way. There was less wolves to deal with and remember, plus the sheer size of that pack had annoyed her. There were only so many wolves that place could hold.

Total seemed to shrink as the alpha's entered. It was clear she would never be comfortable around either of them. "I guess I'll leave you higher-ups to make that choice then." she said, clearing her throat as she rose and left. The way Total saw it, she was an omega.

Stark barked at Total as she left."Hey. This pack is supposed to be more like a family. Our alpha's decide what seems best but we all have a say in the matter. Don't act like you have nothing to do with the decisions our pack makes." Stark was tired of Total's poor pitiful me attitude. He spoke as nicely as he could but she had annoyed him. She had a good life right now. There was no need for her to fear Sandstone and Verblassen. They would not harm her unless for the pack like they had done with Brody. But Total had no problems like that. He padded backwards a little to look at the others and Total."Besides. I believe we have all decided Brody is staying. No need to run off thinking we are going to have a big important meeting." He commented glancing at Sandstone and Ver. From the alphas earlier words it was a yes to Brody staying.
