Dragonpaw bounded along the borders, obviously pleased to be out of camp. His sleek pelt was well groomed, and although he was a ball of energy, it was obvious that he was focused on doing whatever he was doing. What he was doing you may ask, well that is a question he doesn't even know himself. One moment he had been chasing prey all on his own, the next he was racing up and down the borders. Mostly it was to burn the energy that was always in the eager apprentice, but maybe there was reason behind the madness. Who knew. Anyways, the eager apprentice was just happy to be free, to feel the bushes brushing against his pelt and to scent the fresh air.

Movement graced the shadows as something or nothing at all swept by. Dark paws treaded along behind Dragonpaw, observing his movement as muscles coiled under skin in similar fashion to loading a spring. The pawsteps quickened, flying lightly over the mud and soundlessly kicking up speckles of water. A cat burst from the bushes and tackled straight into Dragonpaw, cuffing lightly at his ears then springing away. "Come on, Dragonpaw," Scythebark spread out his forelegs over the ground, arching his back into the air playfully to look like a rather fluffy small dog. "Show me how fast you can run!"

Rolling and quickly recoviering to his feet as he was tackled, Dragonpaw gave out a few playful swipes at his mentor, golden eyes gleaming. Ears pricking strait up as Scythebark raced off, there was no way this apprentice would have ver been able to resist a challenege. They were like a game for him, trying to prove how good he was without actually doing much. Racing. That was a new one for him that he didn't do with his siblings. Eagerness seemed to pour off him though as he darted after his mentor. Legs streaking, belly almost pressed to the ground, ears back, Dragonpaw covered the ground in long, graceful strides. The wind made him squint slightly as it dried out and stung his eyes, but it was unnoticed to the excitable apprentice. "Cat-- me--- can" He called over his shoulder, wind whipping some of the words away.
