It was so dark. The woods that surrounded them made everything seem so... eerie. Of course, Hazelflower didn't mind. Her black and brown pelt seemed to blend in with its surroundings. "Homey." the fat cat commented with a smile. She was pregnant, not round as most, but still rather large for her slim figure. Her gaze darted back to the four kits that already followed her. No, they weren't hers. She had adopted on her journey. She named each after the great clans. Thunderkit, Riverkit, Shadowkit, and Windkit. She smiled lovingly at the three. No matter who their parents were, they'd always be her precious little darlings. "Come on kits." she grinned back at them.
Riverkit fluffed out her brown tabby fur. "Come on guys! Almost there!" she purred as she leapt around wildly. Her bright glassy orbs seemed to dance with the simple joys of almost finding a clan. She gently bumped into the gray tom, Shadowkit. "Come on!"
Windkit let out a small sigh. She was right next to Hazelflower. She hated not knowing what was going on. She assumed that if they met anyone, they'd first talk to the oldest. Her light pelt shivered slightly. It sure was dark here.
Thunderkit let out an agonizing yowl. "Are we almost there yet!?" His red gaze swept over the four. "My pads are going to fall off! I just want a nice den to sleep in!" he whined. He absolutely hated doing uncessiary things. And finding a new home and a clan, was definately not needed. They were just a happy little group back at home.

Grinning, Shadowkit bumped into his sister Riverkit, before darting ahead. "It seems you are the one behind me." He said with a purr of amusment. He was always in a good temper, and usually kind. His eyes danced, and even though they had been traveling forever, the thought of finding a new home soon was giving him new energy. "Be quiet Thunderkit. We'll get there soon enough." He told the other tom in a good manner. He never really cared for those who were too loud, and Thunderkit for some reason had annoyed Shadowkit more then the others. Maybe it was like the clan days, getting along when needed but not liking. Who knew, but considering Shadowkit had a good temperment usually, it was something to think about. He obviously loved the darkness of the forest, it made everything much more intresting. He had been found in the darkness. It was basically a home to him really.

The silvery she-cat emerged from the brush. "Hello, may I ask what is it you're doing on my lands?" She questioned. There was a bit of hostility in her voice. Silverstar wasn't always the friendliest cat in the forests.
Hazelflower wobbled forward. "We come to join your clan." she purred politely. Her black and brown coat was clearly visible as a strand of light broke through the tree tops.
Riverkit bound forward. "Hi! I'm Riverkit!" She smiled up at the older cat. "We're going to be the best warriors ever!"
Thunderkit dipped his head. "Thunderkit." He introduced himself. Only cause he was a bit lazy doesn't mean he didn't remember his manners.
Windkit dashed behind the bigger Thunderkit. "Windkit." she muttered. She wasn't to fond of strangers.
Silverstar glanced at the group. She just realized how young they were. "As a clan we can not turn away kits in need of help, and it appears you're in need of help." She motioned to the queens large belly. It must have been very hard to hunt for this many while carrying kits of her own. "You are welcome to Duskclan, please follow me. I'll show you around." She finally smiled. The old friendly Silverstar was returning.

Shadowkit nearly ran into the silvery she cat, obviously he had been the scout. Wheeling, he almost fell over before he corrected himself. Blinking his deep eyes, he grinned in a good natured fashion. "Shadowkit." He said, with a dip of his head. "I got a rabbit for us a while ago!" Shadowkit said, obviously proud of what he had done. It wasn't everyday kits caught what they attempted to hunt. Easily, he fell behind the leader, his nature proving him to be good willed, if not a bit stubborn. His eyes danced as he followed the leader, obviously excited and high strung to be here.

Silverstar let out a mrrow of amusement. "Very good. Now, how old are you? You can't be older then a couple of moons." Joy danced in the leaders silvery eyes. She was pleased this kit was joining her clan. He would be a great hunter, probably one of the best in the clan. The others didn't stand out much. She could tell Hazelflower was kind and would make a great queen for many litters of kits. Thunderkit seemed powerful in the way he walked, but a bit lazy. If given the right mentor he'd turn out right. Windkit seemed to be very skittish. She hopefully would warm up to the clan and be a valuable member. Riverkit, well, the leader wasn't to sure about her. She didn't know how Goldstar put up with Havocpaw. And there was no way this leader was going to put up with anything like it.

Blinking, Shadowkit glanced at the forest as he thought, eyes narrowed ever so slightly, before clearing again. "I'm guessing about 4 moons." He said. It fit, they were large enough to be older then the kits, but not large enough to be apprentices. Shadowkit really didn't know actually. All of the kits were roughly the same age. Shadowkit moved with a soft, slinking step. He was so differant from Thunderkit, it was shocking. All the kits had no things that were the same in them. It was as if a bit of the ancient clans lived in them still. Shadowkit played his part, as did everyone else. In fact though, it looked like Shadowkit really didn't like Thunderkit all too much, just as the past had been. If anything though, he tried to avoide quarrel with the kits. Hazelflower was already obviously tired enough as it was, and for the moment, he was not going to cause any issues with her.

The large group entered the camp. It was near noon time. The sun shone overhead, the air had a clean crisp feel.
"This is the nursery, it's where you'll be staying." Silverstar lead the group to the cozy nursery. "When you are 7 moons old you'll become apprentices." She added with a nod. She trotted over to a large cat. She whispered something in her ear and then disappeared into her den.
Junglespirit trotted up to the group as they were getting cozy in the den. "Jungelspirit," the large gray and white she-cat dipped her massive head in greeting. Only because she was big didn't mean she wasn't polite.
"Hazelflower," the brown and black she-cat dipped her head back in greeting. "Riverkit, Windkit, Shadowkit, Thunderkit." She introduced the others. "Are you the deputy?" She questioned.
Junglespirit let out a mrrow of laughter. "No no, Scythebark is out hunting. He'll return in a minute. I'm only here because she needs to learn to trust me again. I ran off to rogue lands and then returned because my heart is here." She told her story to the five. "If you need anything, just ask alright. You can talk to me or my sister. We look alike, so just look for a big gray and white she-cat." She purred with amusement. "I'll let you all get some rest. The fresh kill pile is over there, help yourself to it. There is plent to eat." And with that the she-cat disappeared out of the nursery.
Thunderkit saw a pile of moss and collapsed. His dark red eyes closed almost immediately and the lazy tom was asleep in seconds.
Windkit curled up next to Hazelflower and gently dozed off. The travel had tired the kit out.
Riverkit jumped up and down. "Food!" She eyed the pile of fresh kill. She ran over and dived in, taking a piece for her and Hazelflower. When the group traveled anyone who ate always fed Hazelflower first. It was like their unspoken rule. It was weird really, the four unexperienced kits had to feed the fat queen for the last couple of moons because she was to big to hunt for herself. She dropped the food infront of Hazelflower and then took hers over to Shadowkit. "Wanna share?" she asked with a smile. He was one of her comfort items, and she really needed him now since they were in a strange place with strange cats.

The pitch black kit trotted through camp, head nearly turned all the way around as he watched all the camp that he could keep in his orbs. It was all so fascinating to him. New things usually were with the curious young kit though. As the Silvery she cat that had guided him there left, he turned his attention to the huge cat in front of them. Brazenly, he stepped forward, obviously not afraid of her despite her large size. His dark eyes were full of questions, which he put down as she left. He would ask them all later, when cats seemed to be less busy. Little did he know that things didn't get much more calm around here. Trotting around, he scowled at Thunderkit, dislike clear in his eyes, before turning his attention back to Riverkit. His eyes brightened as she brought food over, a low growl rumbling in his stomache as it's fresh scent hit him. Grinning, he nodded and curled next to her, taking a few bites and then letting her take some. In the end with that working, the cats got about the same amount to eat. It worked well when food was scarce. "Wow. A new place. Its so large, and I've haven't seen so many cats ever." He said, awe in his voice as he watched the paws pass in front of the nursery.
