Nimblestar padded easily into the rogue canyon, having known every step of the way since he was an apprentice. The gray tom smiled in memory, the heat of the canyon floor marking his trail directly into the place where many rogues slept. He'd been here before...Ah, how he deeply wished Stagfire, *cough* Pyre would come back with him. What had become of Richages he knew not, but every other cat from the glory days had passed on.
Of course, there had to be someone else interesting around here. Then, there was the mission. Ears perked for the noise, he slipped under the overhang and into the center of the canyon.
"Psst. It's me, Nimble. I've got a decent bit of news for you. Come out before I come in." He prodded gently at Aristleanna, the circuit cat he'd befriended who enjoyed trading goods for knowledge. She awoke instantly, smiling with pleasure. She'd never been good, or bad for that matter, and in this way she was alike with Nimblestar. Though he'd never wanted it, she'd always wished him her mate. Sad, it was that he always denied her that what she favored. "Ahh...It has been long time past since ice-cat comes to see me." She purred, calling him by the name she used to resemble his eyes. "Ask what you will in turn for this knowledge?" Being from out of the area, Arist was known for an odd dialect and accent. Nimblestar shook his head. "A favor. I want you to go to the top of the canyon and announce that I have come to gather cats for my clan. I need recruits to heal the warriors sickness. Clopar's orders." He dipped his head, Leanna agreeing and leaning closer.
Nimblestar told her of what happened with Honeystar and Goldstar, and his new position in MapleClan. Arist's eyes only gleamed brighter, as she nodded and dashed to the top.
"Called cat by Nimblestar of MapleClan has come for recruits. Asks he to recieve you as warriors of the Clan of Maple, by word of Clopar, to cure the sickness. Interested are you, meet Nimlestar beyond canyon wall." She dipped her head, disappearing from sight and nodding at Nimblestar from across the way.
The gray tom smirked sideways, padding out to await the new members of his clan.

Without any invitation or warning, Clopar could suddenly be found perched on a pointed rock beyond the Canyon wall, within earshot of Nimblestar. By his stance it was obvious he was having issues with his chosen ledge. The Circuit's front legs were stretched out down the rock face, while his hind barely held their own against gravity, his paws slipping now and then. His head bobbed up and down like a drinking bird, and combined with his tail, ridged and fluffed out to keep balance, he resembled an absurd meerkat. "So, Nimbley, think any of the Rogues will tur--" His paws slipped and he had to scramble back into position, "-- Turn up? I mean, you DID leave them for the Clan. After that is, of course, you left the Clan for them. Wow, you really DON'T have any loyalty anywhere, do yo-- EEK!" He almost fell off again, and now he hugged the rock in earnest effort not to fall off. Now-- Now he was an absurd sloth. Why not just let go? Well, Clopar's stubborn like that.
"Nimblestar?" Perched on the ledge on the rocky, red wall of the canyon a tuxedo cat looked up at the voice that had intterupted his morning siesta. Black Dog's ears perked and his tail straightened in surprise. "A Clan has a new leader?" A fox-length away sat a patchy white and red Rogue, who had a corner of his mouth fitted over a mouse bone, and he was gnawing away. "Aah, yes. The Clanz, they, how you say, been dropping like flyz?" This cat's-- Bishop-- voice was thick and gutteral. Meows were universal, but felines from different areas tend' to speak oddly. "Really?" Black Dog's ears perked, and he cocked his head up at the Canyon wall. "What she said sounds... Interesting. Want to check it out?" "Pish posh! Serious kvatz like me have no inter-rest in the musings of Clanner-types. You, you should stop kvitching and vinish telling me 'ow you vere evict-ted from your lake." Black dog rolled his eyes, and his white-tipped tail twitched in irritation. "Look, long story short, some ferrets moved in and started getting testy. So I moved in here. Now I'm gonna go see what's happening." He whipped about and hopped down the rock face, pebbles splattering out behind him. "See yah, old man!"
Black Dog crept out into the woods behind the canyon, his ears twitching and his stance tense. These Clanners were tricky, musn't be caught unawares. Where are they, anyway? Lifting his muzzle, he tasted the air. No trace. Oh well-- he turned to head back-- that crazy she-cat must be making stuff u-- "YOW!" When he turned, Bishop was standing in front of him, and Black Dog almost lept out of his skin. "For your information," Bishop began, his ears curled back and his brow low, "I am not old! Now, if you inseest, vee will meet these Clanners you are curioos in." His tail flickered in the direction of the MapleClan leader's audience, and they both trotted out to greet him.
((Bad writer? Moi? How dare you think such nonsensical things!))

Nimblestar bit his tongue, resisting the mild amusement that threatened to cause a smile as he eased his way towards Clopar's...Ledge. Now was not the time for laughter, he thought, as he padded closer. "Ah, Clopar. Just the cat I hoped to see." He gave a slight chuckle, dipping his head. "Yes, loyalty has never been one of my greatest strengths, but alas I have other ones. Although when you're bound by nine lives, loyalty becomes absolute. The time has come I chose my place to reside. And you forget, I was disloyal as a loner, then clan cat, then rogue, and finally loyal as a clanner. Again. Of course at first I hadn't meant to leave the rogues, but death of loved ones can do that to you." He purred a bit. So everyone had had their struggles...Big deal.
He turned his back once more, hearing cats approach. "Bishop, Black Dog." He bowed his head a tad, having recognized them only slightly by all of the cats he'd been with in his time with rogues. "It has been awhile. How does prey run for you?" He socialized, ignoring the fact that Aristleanna was suddenly on a ledge a little below Clopar, whispering something fierce.
"Several dungbombs I have...A few mini firecrackers. Items of trade all, of course, but I could always just use them..." She was purring with her distinct voice, hoping to pull a bit of a prank on her new favorite clan leader. Nimblestar was deffinately about to see something he did not wish to see.

Clopar's brown eyes narrowed by the width of a piece of fur at the MapleClan leader's words. It was a fact that Clopar didn't like Clan cats. Or Rogues for that matter. And Nimblestar; Well, Nimblestar was pretty much both in one. So logically, the Circuit didn't like him. But he'd sooner share his nest with an elephant then give that away. "I'd be careful, if I were you, Nimblestar." Clopar mewed, pulling himself back onto the face of his perch. "Having the title doesn't make you loyal. Countless Clan leaders before you have gone astray. But, let's hope whatever loyalty you have is enough to get MapleClan through the sickness." He licked a paw and drew it over his non-pierced ear as the two Rogues arrived.
"Ah-ha! I was thinking 'Nimblestar' be you!" Bishop exclaimed, trotting up in front of the MapleClan leader. "Yes yes, I see you around, always loitering with the... Snake and skull fellows." "Yes yes, prey runs fine, skip the formalities." Black Dog pushed in front of Bishop and gave Nimblestar an affronted sniff. "What's this about? You're a leader of a Clan now? That's pretty good, considering your reputation with them. I want in on this Clan thing. It sounds interesting." Then he stood on the tips of his toes to peer at Clopar behind Nimblestar. "Oh look, you even brought the sparkle-cat."Nice to meet you, too."Clopar leaned down and perked his ears to listen to Aristleanna. But he shook his head, smiled, and whispered, "Sorry, I'm well stocked on those at the moment. But if you're putting on a show..." His tail flicked in Nimblestar's direction, "I'd love to watch."(( Color-coded this time because I loathe white dialog. I just realized how fun 'Clopar' is to say. Clopa'. Cloooopaaarr. Nimblestar, too. Nimblesta'! Haha, vowels are funny.))

((Excuse Aristleanna. It's in her nature to be flirtacious.))
Arist smirked lightly at Clopar's words, tail touching just under his chin as she spang gently onto her toes. "Fire a touch of ought to do, eh?" She giggled, chucking a miniature bomb out of the little sack about her neck, watching as it exploaded, a mixture of cesium and lithium, when opened upon a puddle, violently errupted.
((Nimblestar cried out "Oh the horror! The light! It's come for me! ACK! Oh, Leanna...My true love! I will run away with you and los my loyalty again!" xP I kid.))
((And now what really happens. *Grumble*))
Nimblestar back away from the flash, tailtip singed slightly. He smirked with laughter, turning his grin in Aritleanna's direction. "Oh come on you. Two can play that game. I'll challenge you to a prank-off. You lose when you give up. I win, you have to come and live permanently with the clan. You win, I'll be Clopar's slave for a day."
Arist rolled her eyes. "Pathetic ice-cat. Thinks you that I fall for this easy? Games I do not play. Though I do play the players of the game." She padded over, considering twirling herself around Nimble before changing her mind rapidly and sitting on her haunches instead. Leanna looked back at Clopar, an expression of 'Eh, I tried, right?' on her narrow face.
Meanwhile, Nimblestar turned back to Bishop and Blackdog. "Well, as it is MapleClan needs the cure to our sickness. Clopar's agreed to give it to us if we will first accept rogues to live in our camps for a time. I've come for recruits. Nothing permanent, unless you want it to be."

Black Dog jumped up at the flash-bang of the bomb, his fur fluffed and teeth bared a the spot of explosion. Bishop, however, hadn't flinched and was listening to the odd conversation the Circuits had with the MapleClan leader.
Clopar crossed his paws and smirked at Nimblestar and Aristleanna's exchange, purring with amusement, "Hey, don't bring me into any bets of yours. Win or lose, someone's going home with half a leg and an eternal fear of the color orange."
"That is reason-able." Bishop grunted when he was adressed again. "I vould never dream of permanent membership to a Clan. Be for now, ve shall participate." The grass made the slightest crunch as it shifted beneath the paw of a newcomer. He sat at the edge of the trees, five fox-lengths away but perfectly hidden with his dark charcoal coat. Well, SunClan be, Nimble was back! And, by the sound of it... His ears curved to pick up what they said. Nimblestar, now? How quaint. He stood and padded away from the shade, paying no attention as Black Dog and Bishop's head swivelled to see who it was behind them. Richages' yellow eyes flickered behind skeleton markings as he purred, "Well, I suppose there's a lot I've been missing out on if you've had a name change.""Eek! A walking Halloween decoration!" ((Why must I write so bad I annoy myself with it? XD And why must you always insert your two-cents at the ends of my posts, Clopar?))

A voice of exactly the right pitch to be...
Oh SunClan! Richages! It had been much too long, that was for sure, and it was evident in Nimblestar's eyes as he padded over, body shaking in amusement. Much as he'd tried to remain solo, he'd always looked up towards Richages with quite some respect. It had dwindled with age, as the gray tom began to think more for himself, but the old days would never be lost.
Nimble nodded to Bishop and Black Dog, consenting them into the clan briefly before turning his way to his old friend, and the mentor of his mentor.
"Richages, it has been a long while. And I think you've witnessed about a million of my different names, if I do say. can't come as any surprise to hear of another. Even if it does have...added issues."
Never in his life had he dreamt of the position he was in. Rather he'd always pictured himself dethroning Maplestar, although through a minor setback, Honeystar, and then backing off to let some other goody, lead. Of course less of a goody than the previous ones of course. He felt he owed it to MapleClan to get them a better predicament. He hadn't anticipated going beyond that however.
"You are welcome back to MapleClan if it pleases you. As I have heard, Snakebite has...passed on. Though from what gossip and all, I believe Stagfire's still around. Different names though."

"Indeed, old friends." A smooth, but mildly amused voice rang out clearly as yet another familiar figure showed themselves. It had been a while since the three had truly made contact with each other; in fact, Pyre really hadn't talked to anyone of them since he left the clan. But having scented Nimble during his promenade along the outskirts of the canyons, he couldn't resist popping in to say hello. It was rude, after all, if he hadn't. And pray to Sunclan that the stag-pelted tom was not being rude to you. Because that would be bad. Ears twitching with amusement, Pyre dipped his head ever so slightly, with a somewhat playful manner. "What honour I have to be graced with the presence of the great Nimblestar. And good day to you Richages as well. It's been a while" Not that he hadn't been well off himself. Known to many as Renegade's second, there weren't too many who were unaware of the brown tom's accomplishments. Pyre's own pale blue eyes meeting Nimblestar's own blue orbs, then looking to Richages, who'd mentored him for the last bit of his apprenticeship he offered a smirk in greeting.

Richages paid no mind as Black Dog and Bishop padded away to sort out their business before departing. But he sat and tucked his tail around his paws, with an as-friendly-as-he-got smile between Nimblestar and the appearing Pyre. "Yes, quite a long while. It's good to see you both. I believe Maplestar was still inhabitting her den when we went our seperate ways. But don't fret, Nimble; MapleClan couldn't be in more capable claws then yours." He lifted his head andnarrowed his eyes proudly. Rogues didn't usually feel kinship with each other, but they had all been Clanmates together. Whatever friendship he did feel was still there, however cold it had always been. "And yes, it saddens me to confirm that Snakebite has gone," Ah, Snakebite, he and Richages had always been close, "While I have been thinking of what Clopar has said, I believe a chance to return to MapleClan would be excellent. I'll gladly accompany you." Though returning to see the cats who he had once claimed alliance with would be... Interesting, to say the least.

Nimblestar chuckled slyly at Richages. Boy was this going to be interesting...The clan would have his fur, surely. But they'd have to deal with the fact that he wasn't about to lose his friends for them. After all, it wasn't as if he'd asked for the leader job. If he'd been offered a deputy position before he'd have turned it down for certain. But he'd been roped in in quite a strange way, one that his curiosity would not let him back out of.
"Not that you need it Richages, but if it means anything of consequence you've got my permission to torment the cats who have anything against you. Of course they must stay alive, so they can defend us against whoever opposes...But they must be taught that you and Pyre are welcome, no matter how annoyed they act."
He purred, already imagining the way Fawnspots would freak out. It was bad enough to think of what Mountainbrook would say, but thankfully she'd departed from the clan. She never did like Nimble, not at all. Course that could be because he killed her sister...
Oops.

Richage's mouth flattened as he thought about that. It'd be fun to see old friends and enemies, and his diplomatic immunity with Nimblestar meant he could do pretty much anything he liked. But picking fights with anyone in the Clan currently wasn't in his best interests, or Nimblestar's. "Fufu, thanks for the permission, but it'll hardly be needed. I doubt the fruitfulness of giving your cats reason to desert you."
"Hey, now, this makes me wonder..." Clopar half slithered, half fell down his perch, then darted over to Nimblestar and his old Rogue companions. He stood next to them and looked between the three, the bells on his collar ringing curiously. "You sure look like you're all still pals. But you're a loyal Clanner, aren't you, Nimbley? This won't do. No Clan is supposed to get along with the Rogues. It's been that way for thousands of seasons. At heart, are you a Clanner or a Rogue?" He chuckled and poked Nimblestar accusingly in the shoulder with a paw. "Sooner or later the both will be on different sides. You'll be creating quite a bit of discord if you don't choose one."

Nimblestar fought down the urge to bristle at Clopar's accusation, but turned his head up to meet him with level eyes. "My choices are nothing of importance to you, Clopar. However I will say that if every clanner felt that rogues and clan cats were meant to remain enemies then we'd have many less kits around the forest than we do. As well I am not one to hold a grudge on behalf of any particular group. MapleClan warriors are free to do as they wish, whether it be to accept or offer hatred to the rogues. They all have their reasons, but while I am leader, MapleClan not bring offense against anyone unlogically. I don't recall the last rogue battle being against MapleClan. If it is accusations you wish, then recall that PewterClan was the last to tary with the rogues, not I."
Nimblestar followed the speech with his usual smirk, before turning his sneer away and back towards Richages. He had long since changed from his actions as an apprentice. Being who he was now, Nimble recieved the words to back up his fight. Many cats could talk the talk, but not fight their own fights. Nimble had been the opposite all his life, and was much beter at fighting than arguing. Of course, his elegant bit of upbringing with Warheart in the canyon had...changed things a bit. When the dark tom had taken him under his wing for a bit of guidance, Nimble had adamently refused. He'd always been the bad boy out of things...But after the death of his mate and children, it was an offer he couldn't refuse. Warheart saved Arist from Renegade at his plea, and for it Nimblestar had paid a great price. He returned to MapleClan against his will, and was shocked to find his change.
As it was, he was now perfectly capable of holding up an excellent debate.
